We have a high-speed cable connection via TW. It's the regular package. I've been hearing stuff about some super cable connection that will your UL/DL speeds faster. What is this and how much faster is it? We have four computers connected to the internet and we have constant activity on each computer, so a faster connection would be great.
And also, I've heard some about this cable phone. Is it worth it?
Thanks.

Since you live near me, was RR down for you this morning for about 1-1/2 hours?
We have 3 sometimes 4 on a network, but I never noticed any slowdowns.
I mentioned this somewhere else.. I have a cable phone that connects directly to work in CA. I can intercom them for free. It's connected into my router. But when I dial out (CA pays for the call), the connection is horrible. Sounds like a terrible cell phone connection with a lot of pauses and echos. People say they can barely hear me or I cut out. My dad has the same deal at his house in CA and if I IC him, the connection is awful also, but the IC to work is clear as a bell. FWIW.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, it was. That was the first time it's been down since we had it.

Thank god. I thought it was a problem with my computer. I was afraid I had some sort of virus that mysteriously cleared up. I couldn't get my email to send and receive. I kept getting errors from RR.

Been wanting to try this for digital phone service.
I haven't used it, but I'm asking around. Also, about the increased speeds, I think it's about $20 more/month, but it's double the speed of what you're at now.

BTW, my phone isn't through TW. It's through Intertel which is who work's phone service is through.
A friend of mine has that TW digital cable phone along with RR and from time to time, they have been having problems with it staying connected. I would ask around, it could just be the location that my friend has the problem, it might work better where you're at.

Stay away from digital phone service for now, too unreliable and at $40 a month not really a bargain compared to SBC's $40 call anywhere plan.
Supercable? Only if it's a direct fiber optic connection.
