...I like you, but not in that way. I PM'd you last week and didn't get a response. So, what's the point.

I would only ask that your moderators be held to the standard they impose on the rest of us. That's not too tough is it?

Whoooooaaaa, how is my posting of an article on minimum wage in any way shape or form an attack on another person? I took a "jab" when I commented about the article but other then that I thought it was interesting. Your moderator "ChumpDumper" is constantly taking "jabs" at others throughout the political forum and that doesn't mean those threads are immediately closed. If he can't take a "jab", then maybe he shouldn't offer up his opinion in the forum that he fucking moderates.
Oh, and I gladly would have stated this in the "minimum wage" thread but ChumpDumper took a quick "jab" at me then closed it down.
Well played ChumpDumper you waste of oxygen.

As posted by ChumpDumper in the minimum wage thread:

Actually the only reason I left this thread here and open is to avoid the whines of oppression from the thread originator and others who chose not to ignore me after I gave them every oportunity to do so and they vowed to do so on their own.

You have witnessed my shutting down threads similar to this one that were directed at other posters -- posters I neither like nor agree with -- so you will now understand why this one is being closed. If you really feel the need to start another one of these threads, do so in the troll forum. They will love you there.

Actually, the only reason you left it open was because it was a legitimate thread. Once YOU decided it was making fun of YOU, then it was closed so as if to show this alleged "power" you have.

Hey cant we just drop the whole subject. I think everyone
has made their point. Chump may have made a mistake,
who knows or really cares. I take my jabs at him and
he certainly does at me. That is what the forum is all
about. You give your lumps and take a few.

Kori and LJ have done a damn fine job on this forum
at keeping it ad free and keeping out of everyones way.
Chump more than likely has learned a good lesson.

I personally saw no personal attacks in the thread. But
then, that is me. Maybe he did. But most on this board
have been called everything, but a nice person, and
survived.

Just my two cents worth.

Thanks Kori, I really don't care who you keep for

having this discussion.

how was that thread any different then any of the personal attacks you throw at people on here?It seemed to be the only point of the thread. It's not a "no personal attacks ever" policy to make folks play nice. It's a "no threads used soley for personal attacks" policy because allowing them can lead to pages and pages of them that push down the legitimate threads that are the real focus of each forum. I allow all kinds of personal attacks on me, so I don't see what the problem is. If your true purpose was to start a real discussion about minimum wage, you certainly could have put more of your own thoughts into your initial post besides the insult, couldn't you?

Then explain to me how Boutons posting an article and then saying "Repugs are fucking idiots" over and over and over again at the bottom of the page any more legitimate? I don't know for a fact, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't need to put any more "thought" into doing that then I had to in order to post my thread. He is obviously trying to get just a few people in here to start opening up for debate by attacking their political views.

Chumpdumper, you screwed up. You contradicted yourself and you won't admit it. If putting "thought" into posting an article is required then you should close every thread that starts with a link and a one line post. You were wrong and you know it and so does everyone else that has discussed this in this thread. Admit it, and then carry on being "the boss" of this forum.

Ads on forums suck. I have tried avoiding having them. The cost of running this forum is pretty high because of the amount of traffic it has to be on a dedicated server, etc. We allow members to contribute from time to time and other stuff, but we aren't going to put ads all over it just to make some money. If we did though, then I wouldn't even be allowed to say things like "bitch" on my own forum, but we would be making money.

I know you weren't around, but we were offered six figures last season to sell it to a big company that was making a sports network of websites and we turned it down. It's something we built from the ground up in the last three years and it's hard for me to sell out by cluttering it with ads and having it be really moderated .. or by just selling it all together.

Then Kori and LJ start Spurschat.com, or Spursgossip.com, or Spurschitchat.com, or even Hablemosdelosspurs.com, and we all move to this new site.
