I'm leaving the house so I might as well get this out of the way.

In the end, my Sooners killed themselves with penalties and turnovers. Inglesias' fumble while we were going in to make 21-17 was the major turning point. That lateral to Peterson should have been called an incomplete pass, but I don't think it impacted the final outcome.

I was impressed with Colt's poise, he won't be a Heisman winner, but he'll be a solid starting QB for UT for the next 4 years. I was surprised Charles wasn't in there more. Texas' secondary did look a little suspect, but I imagine that had a lot to do with A.D. in the backfield drawing Texas' attention.

Good game. CBF, find me the pic and I'll insert into my sig.

congrats t.u., that was a heck of a 2nd half you guys played. i thought OU had all the momentum going into the half...just too many mistakes for the sooners.

oh, and that pass was FORWARD...even if only by an inch, but you won anyway and probably would have. congrats.

For sure. Texas won the 2nd half 21-0, I knew we would be fine as the O was suckin in the 1st half and they couldn't be kept down by that OU defense for 4 quarters.

i just realized:

1. OU had 100 more yards of offense
2. OU had 5 more turnovers than t.u.

...geez, thats not what i expect from a Stoops team. you can't beat anyone when you turn it over 5 more times than them. and while i think t.u. is the better team, there is no way they are 18 points better. OU only allowed 232 yards of offense.

UT Defense is bad ass. They forced 4 of those turnovers, the one they didn't was a backwards pass which Ross got and ran it in for an easy TD.

UT>>>>>>>>OU

face the facts.

He may... OU has no QB next year and all Peterson is doing from this point on is surviving this season so he can be a top 3 pick in the NFL draft next year. UT has to make up some spots, but will more than likely be better than OU at this same time next year. Book It!!

i thought UT could have really blown them out, but held back a bit.

i agree, t.u. could go on a little streak here. beating OU this time kind of puts them over the hump, especially without vyoung.

Quite a few people will see that next yr even if Brantley redshirts UT will be OK @ QB w/Colt & Jevan.
UT's D hasn't done anything but keep getting Chizik 5-stars to reload.
The biggest threat to UT not being a top 5 team for the next few yrs is Chizik leaving.

He knew when he got home there would be some cussin', shootin' & lots of throwin' whiskey bottles around & maybe he'd get slapped just for fun. Then his grandma would pass out drunk.

^ What worries me most about next season is rebuilding the O line. We're going to lose Sendelin, Studdard and Blalock from our line after this season, that's a lot of senior leadership that will be gone. I know we have quality guys waiting in the wings to play, also have the #1 rated O line class in the country coming in, but it takes time for an O line to gel together, hope they can do that before the ou game next year. But, for now I'm happy as a damn clam after our performance on Saturday, time to get ready for the Bears!
