View Full Version : Cowboys vs. Eagles

In my completely unbiased opinion, **cough**, I see the Cowboys O line holding up against the blitz just enough to let Bledsoe get the ball out to Glenn and TO against one on one coverage on that weak ass Eagles secondary. Cowboys defense is among the top 4 in the league in my opinion - probably just behind the Ravens, Bears, and Chargers. McNabb will have a good game, but not consistent enough to win this game against a more talented and focused Cowboys team. Close game, but Cowboys by 7.

Did you see that Indy was giving 18 points to Tennessee at game time? I wish I would have fucking bet on that game, I just don't see Tennessee losing by more then that, plus the Titans scored on the opening drive so now you essentially have a 25 point spread.

That one is on the O Line - two straight plays someone fucking wiffs and lets a defender come clean... straight ahead running the Cowboys are blowing the D line off the ball, but they have been very much lacking in pass protection. That wiff by the O line on the 1st down run set up the passing down on 2nd.

I'm not saying TO hasn't brought it on himself with the Niners and Eagles, but to blame that INT on TO when he was able to brun his defender and Bledsoe threw it on his front foot is pretty underhanded.

But Troy did blame that INT on TO.I think Troy hates TO. He's made several comments throughout the game that lead me to believe he hates him and hates to see him as a cowboy. The Star incident my have something to do with that, but really its pretty easy to hate TO.

I have always been a guy to give Bledsoe his due, but this is unacceptable. If Romo is going to be the QB of the future - the future is now. We lost to an inferior team because of huge fucking mental mistakes - mostly by Bledsoe but a few by Watkins and Williams. Bledsoe is a scarecrow - he did this same shit against Seattle last year. they outplayed the cowboys badly but still barely won. i wouldn't call them inferior but they aren't greatly superior. a pedestrian effort at qb and dallas wins this game easily. they got a horrible effort and lost.

No way he should start next week. Romo has earned his chance and now is the time.
:lmao Inferior my ass, Our D was nasty, the second half was sick, McNabb was in MVP form, and we beat you without our #1 Wide out...please..

Across the board man to man the Cowboys are more talented. That is the reason they were even in the game at the end. If the Cowboys did that shit against the Bears they would have been done early in the 3rd quarter. There is no reason the Eagles should have won this game. Blown coverages and Bledsoe's bull shit were the difference.

McNabb is the difference. He makes plays. Bledsoe makes plays - for the defense. The QB is the most important position, and the Eagles have the big advantage there.

Well, you can say the same for the Eagles. If they didn't drop as many passes or actually get more than "a pedestrian effort" in the running game then its not a close game.
There is no Dallas fan that can say that Philly has an inferior team. They may not be leaps and bounds ahead, but they're definetly ahead.

They're ahead until the Cowboys can get some production from the QB. Why in the hell they didn't throw more fades and three step drops against the blitz is beyond me. Oh, wait... because Bledsoe can't throw the fucking fade. He completely misses TO for an easy TD by underthrowing any ball that requires touch. He's done.

philly's turnovers were far less costly, they defintely deserved to win the game. they have a much better decision maker at qb, and someone who can evade the pass ruch much better. that puts them a nose ahead of the boys for sure.

They need Springs back BADLY teams are killing them on long 3rd down plays because of their weak secondary. That is going to help a lot.
Also, their offense playing better helps out the defense immensley also. I don't believe they'll play as well as last year on that side of the ball either, but I think there is still plenty of time to get it together in order to make the playoffs.

If you can't recognize the difference between the Cowboys, who lost two games because they have the worst QB in the league (and still should have gone to OT at the Eagles place), and the Redskins... then you aren't paying close enough attention. The Skins are pathetic on both sides of the ball. You had a fluke season (much like the Quincy Carter playoff season in Dallas) and know you have unrealistic expectations. Skins and their fans have truely eaten the cheese.

Face it you're stuck with Drew whether you like it or not. Start Romo and you're basicly giving up on this season since it will take time for him to adjust to starting, pretty much every QB goes through growing pains so he will probably be as bad as Bledsoe was tonight, that is IF Romo has what it takes to be a starter.
Funny how no blame goes to Dallas' weak secondary which gave up 350 yards to a team without it's #1 receiver and was lead by a rookie (Baskett who only had 4 catches before today) and a 2nd year player in Brown.

i wouldnt say their secondary is that weak. sure, Williams isnt a great coverage safety by any means, but the CB combo of Newsome, Henry, and Glenn is among the best in the league. they have a very good, talented defense. i think more credit should go to McNabb and the Eagles in finding the holes in their defense. and the Cowboys offense also didnt manage well, especially in the second half, causing the defense to tire out as well.

i noticed that the Dallas defense seems to have a communication problem. a couple times, the DBs didnt know who to guard, and the Eagles were able to get big plays off of those miscommunications. and ive noticed that several other times this year. they probably have the most talented defense in the league. IMO, they have the most talented team in the league, but they dont play together like a team, and their QB sucks, which is why IMO they cant beat less talented teams that have a great team concept, like the Eagles.

COMPLETELY agree. Williams is the most overrated player in the NFL today. The reason he is known for so many great hits... is because he hits the receiver after the catch. Even while at the Fightin' Gaylords, he was known for being poor in coverage.
He is the exact polar opposite of Deion - Neon ould cover you like a nasty moss but couldn't hit anyone. Williams can't cover anyone, but will knock the hell out of em.
