BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Tech wide receiver Josh Hyman was suspended from the team indefinitely after being arrested for driving under the influence, the school said Wednesday.

Virginia Tech police arrested Hyman early Friday.

Coach Frank Beamer suspended Hyman for a violation of team rules, sports information director Dave Smith said Wednesday.

The redshirt junior is second on the team with 13 receptions for 102 yards.

Late last month two other starters for the 22nd-ranked Hokies were suspended after being arrested.

Split end Josh Morgan and defensive end Chris Ellis were arrested Sept. 24. Morgan was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing justice, while Ellis was charged with obstructing justice. Both were suspended for the Hokies' game against Georgia Tech, a 38-27 loss.

Hyman did not travel with the Hokies (4-1, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) to Boston College (4-1, 1-1) for Thursday night's game.
