Video of the fall. (http://www.woai.com/mediacenter/?videoId=310051,565)

By David Chancellor, SpursZONE.com

The Spurs got a scare at practice Thursday - at least I think they did. Tim went up for the alley-oop, and went down hard on his backside. That's how ankles snap, folks. He's okay.

Tony Parker is healthy as well, although he's dead tired from the trip to France.

“It was crazy in France,” Tony told WOAI.com. “I had a lot of stuff to do – a lot of appearances. But now that I’m back in San Antonio I can rest. I don’t think Pop is going to play me that much in the next two or three games, so I can take that time to make sure my body is ready for the season.”

Yeah – it was real tough being in France :)

yeah, Timmy went down "really" hard. :rolleyes

Nothing like overdoing it with a headline to get readers.

Big scare?

That's pretty misleading. He hit the ground like any other time.

Except overdoing it with a thread title to scare the forum.

I'm surprised they didn't say that tony almost died too.

where should I start?

Wherever you want.

You know it is not about the fall itself. I hit the ground hard many many many times. I was even famous because of it. But once I fall and it was not hard, well it was even funny. How it ended? 2 surgeries and end of bball.

thank you

i understand what you are saying. people that play a lot of basketball typically should understand what a controlled fall is. some people know how to control their falls, others dont. for instance, when people fall over, and begin to roll their ankles, some people try avoid falling, and doesnt fall with their ankles, and in turn, fucks their ankles up. people that just fall with the ankle tends to get hurt a lot less seriously, if at all. a lot of times, if people go out of their way to avoid falling, they actually end up getting hurt more than if they were to just simply fall down, and could seriously pull something.

Only player a fall like that could hurt is Beno. And even he'd be out for only 1 or 2 weeks.

Will history of 7's repeat itself? First Robinson, then Duncan out for a year, we get the top pick and get Oden to come back and win for another 10 years...

A team without Duncan, but with Ginobili, Parker, Finley, etc. is not a #1 pick team. I don't know how some of you get that impression.
