ABC just had a report saying Peterson is out for the remainder of the season with a broken collarbone.

That dude can never stay healthy, I mean every year he always gets hurt and can't finish the season. He will never make it in the NFL if he can't even stay healthy in college. Instead of Fragile Fred it should be Fragile Adrian.

Damn, that sucks. A-Pete's dad was there, too. Part of me would like to blame Stoops for leaving him in the game when they were up by 18 at home with seven minutes left.

He needs to declare and get paid - regardless of draft position projections - before he gets hurt again. What else is there at OU for him?

This is good news for Peterson, now Stoops can't run him to death the rest of the season.

...i cannot believe you even post. AD is the fucking man! the only reason he has some trouble is cause OU runs him to death. he'll be a great NFL back, especially when the NFL team he's on doesn't rush him 40 times a game.

The post is accurate as can be. He gets hurt every season, never fails.

...you're not looking at the reasons behind it, and while you may be smart, thats not smart.

This is going to be his last game in a college uniforms, unless he plays in a bowl game. He would be crazy to stay for another year. Next season he will be ran even more since OU will have no QB.

JGW, you accused Horry of being smart... that's laughable.

He is a Quentin Griffin type, looks like he is smaller though. Listed as 5-6 186 lbs.

This could possibly be the downfall of oklahoma football...look for A&M to step into the power void as the second best big twelve team.

At least he can't run for 250+ on us for the 3rd year in a row.

Assuming they can get by Baylor...

NorCal should be happy....AP could become a Raider.

So AP would go from one failure to another.
At least he'd get paid more with OAK. :lol

NorCal should be happy....AP could become a Raider. They need more than AP to fix that team, they should be playing Jay Cutler at QB right now, but someone took drafting lessons from the Texans.

Can you believe we live in a world where you can say that and aren't mocked for it? As a Baylor fan, I'm still trying to get used to it. :)

Look for a decrease in OU dominating power.

He should be well by Bowl game anyway....these injuries heal on their own in about 6 wks.

They could be 5-5 going into that Baylor game. I think they can still beat CU without Peterson but they could easily lose to Mizzou, A&M and Tech. I am anxious to know what, if anything, will happen to Rufus Alexander.

AD will be a Packer or a Texan most likely. Dark horse candidate is Cleveland.

Brady Quinn will be a Raider.

Never. Last time Al Davis picked a QB in 1st round was back in 84 or 85. He just don't do it.

He'll pick the most hyped QB in the history of the foward pass before he picks a RB to replace the solid one with a big contract that he already has. Al Davis likes to pass. He has the WRs, now he just needs someone to get them the ball (actually, he needs blocking, but the OL prospects in the top 10 this year are slim).

Are you telling me that Brady is more hyped than a Heisman winning Leinhart? Because Davis passed on him.

How about the 'free falling' Aaron Rodgers from in-town Cal? Passed.

Phillip Rivers? Passed.

Drew Brees (3rd/4th in Heisman)? Passed.

Chad Pennington (5th in Heisman)? Took Sea Bass instead.

Jake Plummer (3rd in Heisman)? Passed.

Tommy Maddox from UCLA while they were the LA Raiders? Passed.

There is one reason and one reason alone that Al will never again chose a hyped college QB. I have been a Raiders fan since I was old enough to make solid $hit, and I know 2 things to be true: Al wants a verticle game, and Al will never again choose a hyped college QB.

Why? 2 words: Todd. Marinovich.

The only guy who can hold a candle to the Brady-hype is Leinhart, and he didn't even reach those levels. All those other guys... are you fucking kidding me?
