ATHENS, Georgia -- The Georgia Bulldogs (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=61) will be without running back Thomas Brown (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=160061) for the rest of the season after the junior suffered a torn ACL in Saturday's loss to Vanderbilt.
It was another blow for the Bulldogs, who were unbeaten and ranked 10th in the country two weeks ago before losing back-to-back home games against Tennessee and Vandy to fall out of the polls.
The team's second leading rusher with 256 yards and a touchdown on 62 carries, Brown rushed for a season-high 75 yards Saturday on 11 carries. He was also the team's leading kickoff returner with 15 returns for 379 yards and a TD.
With Brown out, the rushing duties will now be handled by Kregg Lumpkin and Danny Ware (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=146671). Before Brown's injury, the trio had combined for 853 yards and five TDs in seven games.
