Notebook: Parker's free-throw shooting has improved enough that he took a technical foul shot in the first quarter even though Ginobili was on the floor. Parker made the free throw, making him 15 for 15 in the preseason. ... :smokin :smokin :smokin

No one else wanted to touch this apparently, but I will. This is awesome news.

Parker may never be a truly dominant point guard with the dependable jumper, especially in the playoffs. But he seems to improve something about his game every single year, and that's all you can ask from a guy like him.

He did much better last season than in the previous seasons, but to see that he's still steadily improving is awesome. Now if he can just draw more fouls, he could help the team tremendously.

Oddly enough, he would probably draw more foul calls if he didn't drive the lane so often.

He'd draw more fouls if he gained superstar status ala Wade, Kobe, etc. I've seen Parker get fouled so many times on his way to the basket without the foul being called. It's just another inconsistency in NBA refereeing. Hopefully, now that he's made All Star, he'll get some more respect from the refs this season.

Great news.

Now if only Timmy can work it out, our starters might shoot over 70% as a unit!

tony has definitely improved his shooting as a whole and this is just another thing to prove it. its good to see that he constantly wants to improve and get better every chance he has. great job tony.

Tony will be in the top 50 FT shooter this year. he started last summer working with chip. the mission has been clear. It was a three year plan to become not only consistent but also a good enough shooter to be the best PG.

year 1: going back to fundamentals, destroy bad habits and start with blank page. the first signs were no 3pt attempted and first result was declared to be FT better than 70%. tony used his tear drop form to duplicate it to the jumpshot.

year 2: objectives are top notch FT which is above 80%. conistent Jump shot when open. gradually take harder and longer shot (3pt)

year 3: after a final summer of work, be ready for PRIME TIME. This is where we seat and ENJOY

Tony and Chip are just on target and i am convinced it will stay this way.

If he misses one in the next game, it's probably my fault for talking to him about it last night.
