Pistons < Spurs

I say you start Bledsoe next week....and have Romo in the backfield!

You get the experience from Bledsoe, but the athleticism from Romo. No matter who starts, you'll have issues and deficiencies.

Bledsoe is old and won't be around much longer...but if you think the team can make some noise in the playoffs, Bledsoes experience could be important.

IMO, not studying the team as much as you Dallas fans do, is the play calling.

If you KNOW that Bledsoes shoes are stuck to the carpet, then insert some plays and schemes that will allow him to get rid of the ball quickly....like throwing to the dammed TE's.

As soon as Romo came in, the TE's were active! It was done mostly to help an inexperienced QB, but doesn't the coaching staff understand how those types of plays would also be ideal for Drew an the inept offensive line? (Part of the problem may have been TO demanding the ball....)

I say go for the future and play Romo, regardless of the mistakes that are bound to happen, and hope for the best. I just don't think the team ever put Bledsoe in a position to really be succesful.

samikeyp
10-23-2006, 10:40 PM
They have Carolina next week...do you take Romo's inexperience or Bledsoe's slowness?

10-23-2006, 10:40 PM
I meant the 414 yards and 2 tds. If he could have put up those numbers in Detroit...they might have done better.

Well, he needed 62 ATTs to reach 414 and completed only 53% of his passes. The Miami O with him at the helm looks exactly like Detroit's when JH was here: stagnant, no separation from the WRs, no running game, etc.

He's an average to below average QB and Phin Fans are starting to find that out.

Yeah, you can't pull bledsoe at halftime on Monday Night without expecting the guy going in to be the one the rest of the season.

He had alot of trouble reading the D. I think that is much more important than a mobile guy. Parcells made a huge mistake, now he must own up to it. I honestly believe that Bledsoe could have done a better job.

LB7
10-24-2006, 08:33 AM
The ball was being moved and distributed well by Romo. I'll take him over Bledsoe for that alone. Bledsoe has 2 very good receivers and he fails to get them involved. Romo got Witten involved several times which Bledsoe cannot do. He spread the ball around to Glenn, Owens, Witten, Fasano, and Crayton regularly. Something Bledsoe fails to do. Stupid mistakes made a good performance look tainted, but Bledsoe was on his way to the same amount of mistakes...and he is the 34-year-old vet. Romo should play. When he does, everyone gets involved and the ball moves well. No-brainer.

that pick bledsoe threw before halftime was awful - bledsoe probably would have thrown at least 3 more picks if he stayed in. might as well go to romo, bledsoe was holding on to the ball way too long. the playcalling seemed to get better when romo came in, i don't know if he was seeing something bledsoe wasn't.

that pick bledsoe threw before halftime was awful - bledsoe probably would have thrown at least 3 more picks if he stayed in. might as well go to romo.I agree the Bledsoe pick was awful, but he should have been given a chance to redeem himself and finish the game. I dont believe that he would have thrown 3 more picks for the game. He is proven vet and now Bledsoe has lost confidence for 1 INT that didnt even cost them the game. They were very much in it. TO's drop on 4th down was right up there with that INT. Romo will get tore up if he starts against the Panthers next week.

Romo will get tore up if he starts against the Panthers next week.
I disagree and think the cowboys should go with romo against Carolina. If drew would have stayed in the Giants would have had about 10 sacks and the Cowboys would still have lost!!Its proven that with bledsoe at QB and the line of the cowboys you blitz and blitz some more and get good results..Romo well get better with PT and you still have a chance of making the playoffs plus he is getting experience for next year if he is the future QB..

I agree the Bledsoe pick was awful, but he should have been given a chance to redeem himself and finish the game. I dont believe that he would have thrown 3 more picks for the game. He is proven vet and now Bledsoe has lost confidence for 1 INT that didnt even cost them the game. They were very much in it. TO's drop on 4th down was right up there with that INT. Romo will get tore up if he starts against the Panthers next week.

bledsoe was holding the ball for 8 seconds a few times, he could have at least thrown it away. either option is not too great at this point - i doubt the boys will make the playoffs either way at this point unless they put out a much better effort, but i think it makes sense to throw romo in there now rather than later. time to start working towards next season.

Sorry, you lost all sports credibility when you said the Broncos wouldn't beat the Patriots. You sir, are a guru of dumbass.

Im not even a Cowboys fan, but I dont think they are out of contention. The Eagles loss helped, but I dont think Romo is the answer. It could be worse you could be a Dolphins fan like me.:madrun

I agree, they are only one game back. I still think the winner of this division only wins 10 games tops.

they're definitely not out of it, but at some point you have to think about getting romo in-game experience. if nothing else, it is clear bledsoe will not be with the team next season - do you sacrifice next season as well keeping bledsoe in?

They are still 3-3 and in playoff contention. Should they be out of playoff contention then you throw Romo in there. Romo will get his shot I just dont think now is the time.

Then again, it's the Cowboys, and anything that could further ruin their season, I'm all for.

Dude, do you really think you are guru of anything except some dumb-ass who sits online all day talking about the broncos (who are not even going to make the afc championship game) and who thinks he is some sports genius since he has a computer!!Yes, I agree that I did forget about week 1 victory with broncos over the patriots, but No I do not think the broncos will win a rematch of that game and I know for a fact shanahan does not want that rematch as well with Brady!!So STFU and quite trying to insult people with your so-called sports knowledge of the broncos schedule, WOW. :flipoff

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Allow me to dissect this idiotic post you've made.

Dude, do you really think you are guru of anything except some dumb-ass who sits online all day talking about the broncos (who are not even going to make the afc championship game) and who thinks he is some sports genius since he has a computer!!

First of all, is this a question? You started out with "do you......" and then ended with a bunch of exclamation points, so right off the bat I'm a little confused. Secondly, I've discussed many other topics besides the Broncos, so that's just dumb. Third, you know that the Broncos won't "even" make it to the AFC championship game huh? Wow, you're able to see the future, that's impressive. Lastly, I'll put my sports knowledge up against yours any day of the week. By the way, you are the one that claims to be a "sports guru".

Yes, I agree that I did forget about week 1 victory with broncos over the patriots

Jesus man, if you are going to argue with me about this stuff, get your facts straight, IT WASN"T IN WEEK 1.

but No I do not think the broncos will win a rematch of that game and I know for a fact shanahan does not want that rematch as well with Brady!!

This one was my favorite, not only are you able to see the future but you can also read minds, you're quite a double threat kind of guy aren't you? Call me crazy, but beating up on the Pat's in New England and only allowing a late 4th quarter touchdown that meant nothing probably doesn't strike fear into the hearts of the Broncos. Not to mention, the Broncos fucking own the Patriots and have done so for quite a few years now.

So STFU and quite trying to insult people with your so-called sports knowledge of the broncos schedule, WOW.

Again, I'm going to go out on a limb and say I've forgotten more about sports facts then you'll ever know. You are a typical fair weather fan that only knows information regarding your own team. Seriously dude, your credibility was ruined in the first place, you've only made it worse with this gem.
