The big question is whether the teams will play their last pre-season game to win, or to keep looking at the 10th - 15th+ players.

I wonder if there is any disagreement between Pop and Spurs about how to play this game?

Pop wanting to pre-season screw around,

vs.

the Spurs not wanting to lose 2inaro to the Mavs and @ATT?

I can't believe the Spurs really feel this is "just another yawner pre-season game".

I can.

Me too. If I was Pop I would barely play any starters at all. Make sure they don't have a feel or film to look at how to play spurs.

I wouldn't count out a loss, or even a double-digit loss, but 30?!

now if we were playing the Rockets.... ;)

True, but overall, the loss of the Alamo was a benefit to the Texas Revolution.

I would gladly lose game one of 82 if it meant the Spurs were in the Finals.

i know but we eventually won the war and remember the alamo had a vital part, just like we lost last season but we need to remember it and get revenge to win this season...

" how to play spurs."

Bullshit. Pop has said there are no secrets. There's nothing to hide. It's desire, execution, and how the ball bounces.

Although I agree his hard-headedness and reputedly weak in-game adjustments put him at a disadvantage vs other coaches who could be better with in-game adjustments.

I don't know if your team is all playing, but last thing we heard from AJ, is the team is not going to be complete tonight. That hardly gives any idea about matchups and all of that.

I thought I read that the Spurs were gonna give the Starters a decent amount of minutes....set the over/under at 25 for the big 3

:lol Yes, but I must chime in here...the people who first said "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad" ended up victorious! It was their battle-cry for Texas Independence. Long live the Republic of Texas!

I hope you're right and that it's an exicting game but I can see Pop sitting out his players like he did during the last Spurs/Mavs matchup of the season two years ago...and I can also see Avery limiting some of the starters' minutes as well. Both teams *should* play hard because it just gives them one more real opportunity to play each other but whether they actually will tonight remains to be seen.

i love the alamo. davey crocket could shoot pancho villa on his horse from up to a mile away. tim duncan can shoot a bank shot from up to 21 feet. same diff

btw if spurs dont play starters typical minutes in first game it doesnt matter bc dallas will have film from spurs playing other, similar teams or just splice stuff together from good defenses and similar offenses

20+ point loss by the Spurs ala Bulls, cause there's no way Pop shows AJ anything especially since they play the first game of the season against the Mavs. After the loss the usual invasion of Mavs trolls. saying 'this wasn't just another preseason game but an aberation"

Plenty of Mexicans fought and died at the Alamo for our side. Just because we were fighting the country of Mexico doesn't mean Mexicans didn't want their independence. If you had paid attention in Texas History class you'd know that.

And the Billy Bob Thornton version of The Alamo sucked ass. Do yourself a favor and get the original.
