WASHINGTON (AP) — Millions of people in the United States turned back the clock this weekend.

Standard time returned at 2 a.m. Sunday, with clocks falling back to offer an extra hour of sleep.

Next year daylight-saving time will last a bit longer.

Under a change in the law, it was extended from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. That means daylight time returns next March 11.

Some states and territories do not observe daylight-saving time: Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.

i think he was telling me, but who knows...anyways i got one of those old school clocks...u know the ones that u twist the back to set the alarm lol, its crazy how i come to find out about time changes just by accident. i never know when they're gonna change the time.

Of my 7 timepieces, 5 will reset themselves: 2 cell phones, 2 computers, and a cable box. I'll have to reset my microwave clock and my coffee maker.

Here's the one that always kills me. We have our outside lights on a manual timer. My wife and I have this discussion every fall. This has been going on for, literally, decades.

Wife: Did you reset the clocks?
Me: Yes, I did.
Wife: What about the light timers?
Me: You don't have to reset those.
Wife: But, now that it's getting dark earlier, I want the lights to come on earlier.
Me: Yeah, but the sun didn't change when it sets, we just changed the clocks.
Wife: Right, so reset the timers.
Me: It doesn't matter. They will come on at the same time relative to the sun setting as they did before.
Wife: You always say stuff like that just to put me off.
Me: No I don't, it happens to be true.
Wife: What about the time you said that problem with the car was nothing and then a week later the transmission failed?
Me: That's got nothing to do with this.
Wife: Just go away. I don't want to talk to you any more.
Me: What do you mean? We were having a rational conversation and then suddenly you want to stop.

Me... (etc. etc.)...

I think I'll just start saying "yes" when she asks me if I changed the light timers.

yea we dont turn back the clocks...it is kinda annoyin when we have to wait an extra hour to watch something(ie. if a spurs game comes on 8:00 in the states, it would be on 9:00 here (because 9:00 for us is your 8:00). yeah...
