SOOOOOOOOOOOOOo nice to see Witten getting involved... I didn't realize that was his first catch TD catch all year, though.
First monkey off Romo's back... GO COWBOYSFuck that, I'm only up by 3 and Tpark has Witten!!!! I can't take another one of those fucking TDs

I think he looks a lot more calm and poised today. Witten saved that pass, it wasn't pretty but he got the job done and his mobility alone is impressive. Plus, I just love that we have more throwing options since Witten doesnt have to friggin block for the Statue.

He definitely looks more poised today - I guess that's a full week of prep. He's also spreading the ball around better - TO, Witten, and even Crayton are getting in early in this one. I just hope he can curb the stupid mistakes like that pick in the 1st. Much rather have him making mistakes and learning than Bledsoe making the same mistakes he has for 14 years.

That's only for 14 year veterans from THE Washington State University.

If the O-Line isn't going to get the job done, Bledsoe has to sit so its sink or swim for Romo. I believe in my heart the kid is special and he will make mistakes but nothing like last Monday. I mean, putting him in like that last week was so fucking unfair its deplorable. But for him to come back looking calm like he did tonight speaks volumes. Unlike many, win or lose tonight, I still think the Cowboys stand a damn good chance at a wild card.
And Tony darling.. if the GF doesnt call, she is a fool. I will be happy to call :married:

I always got a kick out of all the people who said Romo shouldnt play because he has no experience - when you can't get experience without playing. Even if they don't make the PO this year it should be great for next year given they address the O Line and Safety positions in the offseason.
I was wondering what Romo did that a woman would drop a rich, now starting QB in the NFL just like that. Banging the sports groupies maybe??

I agree, he has to start sometime. I didnt like his auspicious start but he is showing something out there. Four point deficit going into the half against the vaunted Carolina defense? I'll take it!
As for the GF... if he was banging groupies why would he be waiting for his phone to ring? He wouldnt care. I'll be his groupie though! Hope he likes white-looking Messicans.

If gibbs and the skins are smart they'll make the move. Brunell is just another Bledsoe wasting time...Word is that Campbell took all the snaps in the past week with the 1st team, but its was just a bye week. Hopefully come tomorrow the same thing happens. Then I'll believe its going to happen.

I didnt know what to be for Halloween so my friend who is ultimate Pats fan and hates that Bledsoe isn't starting anymore said I should dress up as Tony Romo. I agree it could be Fool's Gold. However, as a fan who was very nervous tonight, I dont want to think ofthat. Just too fucking happy right now. I disagree on the fools gold. I've been saying from Week 1 that we are a QB away from being a serious contender in the NFC East. We could very well be 7-0 or 6-1 right now if not for horrid QB play. With that said, I'm pleased with 4-3 and I expect us to be 6-3 going into the Indy game.

The Carolina D isn't as good as advertised. Boller lit em up for 3 TDs...
Hard to judge Romo, but he looked good and made plays tonight...
C'mon Delhomme, one more turnover...

There is an outside chance I may be going to the Indy game. GO COWBOYS.

Your defense didn't play all that great against a mediocre offense untill the end of the game when the Panthers packed it in.

I could stand for Key to get a garbage touchdown right now in one of my leagues.

I'll look for the thread where I (along with others) called for him later.

Yeah, I'm impressed with Romo. But the thing that gets me is the Carolina drops. They were all huge, especially the Johnson one.
Johnson's was a big drop, but not the flares. Maybe they are good for first downs at best. What's encouraging is the playmaking ability of Romo.

All part of the game, but Romo moved the ball with ease all game. The only thing stopping their drives were dumb penalties in the first half.

I'm with you, but a Delhomme'/Foster/Smith TO would help me more in the 250...

I think that's the cleanest jersey Bledsoe's ever come off the field with.
He should go roll around in the grass to make it seem like a normal game.

I didn't want Romo at the beginning of the season. I will fully admit to that. And I have been a Romo girl all along, but I wasn't sure if it was the right time. More than anything I wanted to see how the O-Line was, and I thought maybe Bledsoe could handle a personality like TO better. Now there is no doubt, Romo is the man. I do feel badly for Drew though.

A first down and some offensive rythmn as opposed to a frustrated QB and team? Hell, a postive gain in those situations may have been enough to keep the team from imploding the way they did.
Then you throw in the 2 late special team fumbles, and sure, Romo looked great, but he had A LOT going for him tonight. I'm not trying to take anything away from Romo but I don't think he takes the Cowboys from a below average NFL team to a team destined for the playoffs by any means. For one thing, he needs to do this again next week and the week after for it to be anything more than a single good game.
If anything, the best thing about tonight for the Cowboys would be that TO is probably going to be a much happier person in the lockerroom.

You could almost apply this to TO's 4th and 2 drop last week vs. Giants. That would have been a HUGE boon to the Cowboys that could have won them the game had they scored on that drive. But somehow, everyone thinks the Giants are so much better than the Cowboys?

There are situations like the drops in every game. The only point I was trying to make was that I think Scott is not being realistic about the strength of the Cowboys team right now.

romo made the line look just a little better, defense and special teams made some big plays. i'm just glad that missed fg by the drunk didn't figure in as big as i feared it would.

I agree with Scott about the penalties. They made the win more difficult. The defense played really well and Romo was good. I am glad to see the Cowboys get a good win against a good team.

Campbell is the 3rd, but if there is a switch he'll become the #1. He took all the reps with the first team this past week, but we'll see what happens this week.

It's fun for Redskin and Eagle fans to bag on the Cowboys when things are not going well but then refuse to give credit when due! You KNOW that Romo will be a different animal than Bledsoe!!!!!
