H-E-B Flight To Fight Hunger
http://www.nba.com/spurs/community/heb_foodrive_041028.html
H-E-B’s 100th Anniversary Celebration will officially begin on November 10 with the largest contribution ever made to food banks in a single day and Spurs fans are invited to participate.
The Flight to Fight Hunger is a joint effort between H-E-B, Southwest Airlines and the San Antonio Spurs to deliver 1 million pounds of donated product to 18 Texas Second Harvest food banks in one day.
What does it take to set a World Record of this magnitude? A brand new Southwest 737, a fleet of specially designed H-E-B Centennial trucks, dozens of volunteers and the generosity of H-E-B suppliers and you.
Simply bring a non-perishable food item with you to the Spurs game on either November 3 or November 10 and help fill the H-E-B truck that will be parked outside the East entrance of the SBC Center. The first 100 fans to donate 10 or more items will receive a pair of tickets to an upcoming Spurs game.
On the morning of November 11, Coach Popovich and the Spurs Coyote will join representatives from H-E-B and Southwest Airlines as they make the final delivery to the San Antonio Food Bank.
Join H-E-B and the San Antonio Spurs as we begin the next century by helping to put an end to hunger. It’s our way of saying thanks, Texas, for 100 great years!
