anyone watching him play tonight? he is looking much better than i could have expected. 13pts and 4 reb in the 1st half. not bad for a kid with two bad knees. he says he feels 90% and his elevation is at roughly 80% of two years ago. is this a one game fluke or is he for real now?

It's impossible to tell if this is a fluke or not, since it's only the 2nd game of the season. The next few weeks will paint a much better picture of his progress.

However, tonight is a good one so far for Suns fans. Amare is performing at a high level against an elite frontcourt of Brand and Kaman. He's playing with a lot of hustle, he's got the jump shot going nicely, getting some offensive rebounds, and playing the best defense of any Sun against Elton Brand.

He just doesn't look like he's getting much lift.

I don't think we will know for a month or so.

He looks good at times but good players perform consistantly.

He also is not getting consistant minutes. Game 1 he barely played in the sceond half. He was pulled and didn't return after committing two straight turnovers.

Last night it was a good first half but didn't do much in the second.

even though he scored all those points, he didn't look like the old amare. His lift and his legs were just not there, and probably wont be there again. He is going to have to start playing a more cerebral game.
