Jalen is old. Jalen is out of shape, which is why he didn't contribute to the Knicks.

Jalen does not add anything to this team that they didn't already have (mediocre scoring swingmen)....

Am I wrong to think he's more of a mid-range gunner, and that his style isn't a perfect fit with Phoenix?

another jump shooter on a team that lives and dies by the jump shot

If Jalen is as out of shape as the Knicks claim, he'll die running up and down the court in the Suns system.

I really thought that TNT had the inside track on signing him.

So the Suns added another all-offense-no-defense type of player who may take shots away from the other scorers on the team. Not a big deal.

Jalen Rose is old, and even when he was young, he was selfish. Good signing...for the Spurs. :smokin

Jalen Rose is their new Tim Thomas. He'll definetly add to their team. They don't need him to play defense, just score.

Tim Thomas can do everything on a basketball court that Jalen EVER could, and is 2-3 inches taller and LOADS more athletic. They are cut from the same mental bolt of cloth, though: weak.

I was thinking the same thing too. I actually thought he'd be more of a fit in Miami.

So the Suns added another all-offense-no-defense type of player who may take shots away from the other scorers on the team. Not a big deal.

Aside from Nash, the Suns seem to prefer those types of players. Their system, while very popular and entertaining, has a lot of flaws.

If Jalen is as out of shape as the Knicks claim, he'll die running up and down the court in the Suns system.

That'll be too funny to watch. :spin Even after he gets in shape, I'm wondering how he'll keep pace with these guys.

While Rose can play the point forward position, I don't seem to recall him making plays for others very much. He WILL fire the rock though.

Last time I played, I found that the way you got into shape was running up and down the court. Could be Rose will get into shape in the Sun's system.

He'll probably be an asset to them off the bench.
