All of these coaches have had multiple years of NBA Championship leveltalent rosters.
Yet only one has failed to do what all the others have done.
Who is that one?

Spurs also have the winningest record in all of sports in the last 9 years.

No, it goes both ways. Tim only wants to play with Pop. Pop's job is secure here until Tim retires. Then Pop follows.

I guess it seems like 5 years ago since we had Tall Ball on both ends and ball movement offense. And maybe it seems like it will be 5 more.
If your team has the best talent like Pop has had for at least 6 of the 10 years, why shouldn't we expect more titles?
Tim would stay, i don't care what he has said.

So you think they should have won 6 out those 6 years? That's ridiculous. There's so many factors in winning a title.

So who is wearing the pants in the Spurs organization? The owner and GM or Tim Duncan? Or does he love 4 Dumb offense too much because its all about him?
Instead of firing or demoting, how about a full scale media blitz with you and LJ leading the way? Football analogy. Marty MMMmmartyBawl Schottenheimer has for years refused to open up the offense, even tho many years he has had the personell and certainly this year. Public finally had enough of it, blitzkrieged along with the local media. I also suspect the owners delivered the edict for Marty to get off his Metamucil and get the offense going. He did. Check out the Chargers the last 4 weeks. Supose a similiar edict was delivered to Small Ball Oberto Starting Metamucil guzzling Pop?
Now i know, Pop has won 3 titles, the board parrots will keep redundantly squaking that. However we could have had more, and more importantly could have more, so why would any true Spurs fan want to stand in the way of that?

Your posts tonight are nothing but frickin' nonsense.
You are bitching about 4 down? That's so 2001. 4-down isn't the Spurs prevelant offense these days (though it did get the Spurs back in the game in the 4th quarter tonight). It hasn't been about 4-down in a long ass time.
It seems like you don't even watch Spurs basketball.
I don't think Rudy was that great.

Fabbs just has no clue about the Spurs organization. RC could never fire Pop, because he works for him. Pop is President of basketball operations and head coach. Just because he doesn't perform GM duties anymore doesn't mean he's subordinate to RC. There are only two people who could cause Pop's demise: Tim or Holt. Neither will do it.
This organization will remain essentially unchanged until Tim retires, and then you spoiled assholes will really have something legitimate to bitch about. The new bitch mantra will be "why can't we make the playoffs every year and be a contender!", never realizing what a little twat you were when they did...
Gosh, we've had such little success lately! Dammit, Fabbs is right! Only three titles?? NOOOOOOOO![/sarcasm]
BTW Buddy Holly, since when do player coaches not count? Do you mean, then, that no one won the 1968 and 1969 championships?

I didn't say demote Pop I just answered the question of him never repeating. And if I were Holt he'd have the safest job in the NBA. This thread didn't seem like a fire pop thread, but I guess some took it that way. Pop has been consistantly imo the best head coach in the league for the past 5 years. Here's to ya' Pop :jekka
