Warriors @ Mavs tonight.

Maybe no Mavs horse laffs tonight either, because Mavs were 1 - 3 vs Warriors last season, including losing both games @DAL.

Avery going for 7 straight Ls?

I'd rather win the last two games of the season than the first two.

Celebrating the Mavericks demise is a bit premature. Kind of reminds me of folks calling the second round series 'over' last year after we won game six.

The Mavs are too talented to have this losing streak last and I don't like putting the reverse hex on a rival.

Still isn't it ok to have a little fun at the mavs and their troll fans while we can? I mean if the spurs were 0-2 they would have us burried already. I am not counting out the Mavs this year, but there is just something very satisfying about cuban sitting with his arms crossed with a look on his face like mom just took away his favorite toy at the sight of his team losing by 30 points!

Here, here!

I despise the Mavs like everyone else. I wish they would go 0-82. However, we all know that the Mavs will bounce back and get their sh!t together. Their team and coach are both way too talented not to. Just like last year, they will be our chief obstacles in getting to the NBA Finals.

It's a long season and all teams go through ups and downs. Hell, it's not like the Spurs are sitting here 3-0 and are kings of the B2B games. We've got our achilles heel.

BTW, if anyone wanted to know that state of seriousness and concern amongst Mavs players, it's been two games and they've already called the overrated "players-only" meeting.

You know that's the forum where everyone clears the air, assigns blame, takes responsibility and vows a renewed commitment. Wonder what they will do if they lose to the Warriors tonight.

Before anyone starts thinking this will be an easy game for the Mavs to win, be advised that the Warriors were the only that was undefeated (3-0) against the Mavs last season.

I think that the players only meetings only help when the players talking have a lot of good character, like our Spurs. Good character is why people take ownership of their mistakes in the losses and change their actions consistent with that admission. Good character contributes to unselfish play, hard work, good team defense and good cohesion on a team. Good character rises up when obstacles come.

In complete honesty, I believe that they have a lot of people on their team that have bad attitudes and aren't good people. Low blow, Stackhouse, Howard and Cuban are good examples of what I am talking about.

Probably, they make the playoffs. However, everyone now knows what they do well and is looking out for them. It is harder to stay at or near the top, than it is to get there in the first place. The talent on their roster, is in my opinion, better on paper than last year. But, the last couple of points combined with the fact that they are a team lacking in good character, means, I predict, that they take a step back this year in the sense that this year is not as successful for them as last year, probably by regular season wins and almost certainly by playoff wins.

Yup, they are in the same place that Detroit was last year at this time.

This points out the difference between our teams.
You feel vindicated after a sluggish start by getting a good regular season record.

And teams without much defense can win a lot of gains in the regular season.

Pistons lost last year in the playoffs because their defense had slipped.
They weren't a horrible defensive team, just an average one, kind of like the Mavericks are now.

Suns also had a great record a few years back. They had homecourt advantage all the way through the playoffs.

Of course, we all remember how that turned out.

Now, since the all star break up until the Mavs game - Spurs went 25-3 or so. That's pretty good.

We were beating you until Crawford wrongly tossed Duncan for laughing (and Stern's actions show that Crawford should not have tossed Duncan).

After that, there was no point in trying to win since we couldn't get homecourt so we rested our starters.

Still it is funny how you can't figure out that it is all about the trophy.
