SPURS ENCOURAGE THE COMMUNITY TO "LEND A HELPING YAM"
10 Cans or More Earns You Tickets To Fun Events
The Spurs are encouraging the San Antonio community to donate to the 14th annual "Lend a Helping Yam" drive benefiting the annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner for senior citizens.
Outside the AT&T Center's East Entrance on the Northeast Plaza, during the Spurs vs. Charlotte Bobcats game on Wednesday, November 15 and the Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls game on Friday, November 17, there will be a truck to collect all donations from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
The first 100 fans of each night who donate 10 or more cans of yams will each receive two free tickets to an upcoming Spurs game. Tickets donated on these nights will be for future game dates.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner. The generous yam donations will be a part of the dinner that feeds more than 25,000 local senior and underserved citizens who annually attend the event.
