Burns is a fucking Abramhof crony crook. I hope he loses. The CNN pundits were thinking this one was lost because Tester wasn't mean enough. I like that he wouldn't do attack pieces and yet might win.

Manny is in a prophesy zone tonight...
The totals from Yellowstone County disappeared from the official Montana Sec. of State website and media sites. Rumor is they are doing a complete hand recount of the county.

According to Burns campaign announcement carried live by CNN Pipeline:
70000 votes in Yellowstone county to be recounted from scratch because a "machine malfunction" wiped out the vote count when machine rebooted. Also, problems with machines in Flathead and Gallatin counties. Expect results no sooner than 7AM MT.

WASHINGTON - Democrats erased the Republican Senate majority Wednesday with a cliffhanger victory in Montana, hours after taking control of the House. The battle for Senate control came down to Virginia, where Democrats held a small lead.

You don't think there will be a recount? I just heard this morning that when Montana got their democrat governor, they rammed through legislation that allowed same day registration/voting. This was proven to allow widespread voter fraud in Wisconsin in the last election - I wonder how much it affected this race.

I haven't heard one whiff of news about irregularities in Montana. You got a link?

I'm not saying there was voter fraud - I heard John Fund (Wall Street Journal) this morning and he was talking about the voter fraud in Wisconsin (in the last election) resulting from same day registration/voting. He said Montana had passed this same legislation and he wondered if it had any effect on this election.

A recount can be requested by either party if it's a close enough election, and this one seems to qualify. In Montana I believe the requestor has to pay for it.

Tester wins. This midterm is getting awfully weird.
