2 years removed from the best basketball class in the nation, Oklahoma State is again vying for the honor.

7'0 Ibrahima Thomas of Simi Valley (CA) Stoneridge Prep has made his decision to play at Oklahoma State and will sign his letter of intent on Tuesday morning. He will join us live on the Greg Swaim Show on Tuesday at 2:00 pm (CDT).

Following his visit over two weeks ago to Stillwater Thomas "was on cloud nine", according to Mike Mahoney, the Director of the school. However, he still took previously scheduled visits to Fresno State and Auburn before making his final decision. "They'll have to do something special to beat the Cowboys," Mahoney said. "Ibrahima said the people were friendlier than anywhere he'd been and that overall it was a great experience. He came back sounding like an OSU chamber of commerce commercial and telling all of his teammates about how terrific it was."

Thomas has gained a lot of weight in a very short amount of time and has really pushed himself to eat well and hit the weights. Only 185 pounds just a year ago, he is now up to 220 pounds and still going. He is extremely athletic and can shoot to NBA three point range.

Thomas' decision has catapulted Sean Sutton's Cowboys to a top 10-15 national recruiting class and that could go much higher soon.

Of course with signatures already in hand from 6'6 James Anderson of Junction City (AR) - rated the #10 Small Forward and #34 overall, 6'9 Martavius Adams of Irwinton (GA) Wilkinson County - #24 Power Forward and #80 overall, and 6'5 Nick Sidorakis of Jenks (OK), adding Thomas completes all but one piece of the final fall puzzle for the Pokes, as they hope to also land 5'9 Jai Lucas of Houston (TX) Bellaire - #6 Point Guard and #42 overall.

Adding Lucas in with the other four would put the Cowboys firmly in the top five classes and with two more scholarships to give in the Spring, the Pokes could boast one of the best classes in the land after April. And one of those players the Pokes hope to land in April is Thomas' teammate at Stoneridge 6'11 senior Mamadou Diarra - #5 Power Forward and #20 overall. While Diarra has USC, Oklahoma State and Baylor atop his list, he and Thomas are great friends and have expressed the desire to play together in college.

Oklahoma State will be losing only one Senior after this season. In addition to the 2005 signee class, they will also return Guard JamesOn Curry and Forward Marcus Dove, as well as super signee Obi Muonelo, who had 16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and shot 4 of 6 from 3-point range as a true Freshman in OSU's first game this season against Florida Atlantic.
