After finding out that Time Warner doesn't carry Fox's or MY35's HD feeds, I need to get a good indoor HD antenna. I picked one up at Radio Shack last night for 50, but it can't pick up 35. It does pick up Fox.
Does anyone know of a good HD atenna that can be had for a reasonable price? I don't want to spend more than 50 because the only times I will use it are when I watch Fox shows that are HD (I can't think of any I watch right now, but I'll probably watch 24 when its back) and NFL/Spurs games. If I can't get the Spurs games on 35 in HD then I'll live, but maybe someone here cna help.
Thanks.

You may end up with the best antenna money can buy and still not be able to pick it up. There is a website somewhere that can check your address against signal strength in that area... try searching for "HDTV for free" and maybe you can find it.

So how exactly do these work?
I have TW digital cable with HD service. I would have to have a built-in tuner on the HDTV to use one of these antennas, right?

I've heard a regular roof antenna will pick up HD signals perfectly.

The post there makes me think its probably pointless. I think I'll just leave it the way it is and settle for having Fox HD OTA.
Thanks for the help.

Yes, your TV would need an HD tuner, JB.

Get a powered one, whatever you do.
And that Zenith one in post #2 and all imitations like it suck. I got one of those originally and it didn't work for shit. Took it back and got a powered one from Radio Shack (don't see it on their web site or I'd link to it) and haven't looked back.

It actually picks up every station BUT MY35, but from what I understand MY35 my just be too far from me.
According to Antennaweb.com its the furtherst away at 28 miles. Bummer.

there is no difference between a regular antenna and an "hdtv" antenna. They are one and the same. By slapping "hdtv" on it, they are giving themselves license to overcharge you by at least $20. I'm pretty sure the cowboys games on fox have been in hd through timewarner.

I'm thinking about giving this one a whirl. It can't do any worse than the one I currently have.

Hmm, that's weird Manny. I can pick up ABC up here from 37 miles from the broadcast antenna with the one I picked up. That sucks.
