With only 100K+ difference and 220K provisional ballots, they'll probably end up counting the provisional ballots. But hopefully not and if so, hopefully it doesn't take too long. In the end, Bush will win anyway.

Mark Halperin, ABC Kerry operative, just explained how the provis ballots won't get Kerry over the hump...

Counting provisional ballots I think they said on TV will take 11 days or so

Nbadan

Cnn is saying that there could still be 300,000+ un-counted votes. To close to call given a 100,000 lead for any candidate.

Kori Ellis
11-03-2004, 01:59 AM
They can take UP TO 11 days.

Spurminator

What I heard was they didn't begin counting them for 11 days.

I concur. They said the ballots won't even be opened for 10 days.

I'm hoping that Bush gets Iowa, New Mexico and steals Wisconsin (it's 50/49 now) and then Ohio won't matter. :lol

SpursWoman

Kerry would have to win 70-75% (the last I heard) of the votes on the provisional ballots to overcome Bush's lead.

Ain't gonna happen.

Kori Ellis
11-03-2004, 02:03 AM
I concur. They said the ballots won't even be opened for 10 days.

I heard that they had to be counted within 11 days by the state law there. Who knows!? Hopefully it doesn't even come to that.

CNN is full of shit.

On the provisional ballots, Kerry would have to win 181K - 75K to pull it out right now, and the people who know say that the provisional and overseas ballots fall along the same percentages as the rest of the state.

In short, not enough votes to pull it out.

The Ohio secretary of state was just on and said there is not more than 175,000 provisional ballots possible.

SpursWoman

And though all people in their right mind will realize that won't happen, they'll probably still go through the damn process.
