I haven't even looked who's playing at those dates, but I want to say this...

Pat Green sucks.

Randy Rogers>Pat Green

I throughly enjoyed Randy Rogers when I saw him play last year in Selma.

I like Pat Green, just not his new stuff.

I'll say this, it's taken me longer to get used to Cannonball than the previous material, but I keep thinking back to one day when I was driving to San Antonio from San Angelo and I caught a show on XM where they have the artist in right before their new album release and play everything and talk to them about each song.

Well, that weekend was Pat Green.

He started talking about why this album was obviously different than the last few and he talked about aging and family and his life changing, so I tried to give Cannonball what I think I would be feeling like if I were in his position and that's when it started sounding better to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take some of the older stuff if forced to make a choice, but I also didn't come upon Pat Green's music until mid-2004, so the whole catalog kind of came at me at once.

If you're into "Texas Music" you might want to have a look at Lone Star Music's online store. (http://www.lonestarmusic.com/)

Thanks, man. Actually it's Kosciusko (http://www.ktownhall.com/index.php), but Stockdale's close enough.

Also December 8th at Gruene Hall. I'll more likely make that show. But if I'm off, I'll be at K-town also.

And I agree 100% with everything 1369's said in this thread so far.

:clap

If you happen to be in Gruene, the brick and mortar is a fascinating place. More Texas music than you can shake a stick at and the staff is nice to look at as well. (Although I've only been there twice and both times it was a cute chick. If you go there and there's a guy working, my previous statement is rescinded.)

If you're looking at the front door of Gruene Hall, turn left and head a couple blocks down the street.

Holy crap...I just noticed John Conlee December 9th...there goes my paycheck that week. RK at Gruene Friday night, and JC at K-town Saturday...I predict one hell of a hangover Sunday!
