Please forgive my ignorance, but did Kerry quit his Senate seat to run for president, or will he go back to the Senate once this is over?

I believe he will be back in the Senate. Not sure about Edwards.

Edwards gave his up and the GOP won it. What exactly did Edwards bring to the Demo ticket? NC was never competitive and Edwards just cost his party a Senate seat.

Oh, yes... the stealth senator... he can make much better use of stealth technology than the nasty, brutish military. :lol

Well, considering that he really hasn't showed up in the Senate much at all, I don't know if it's accurate to say that he'll be going back.

He showed that he couldn't both run for president and fulfill his duties as a senator. He should have given up his senate job. The people of Mass. have been ripped off.

Kerry, Al Gore and Hillary will form up to become a super GOP fighting robot and run in the 2008 election. Call it Demozord! (See Voltron)
