This game comes down to who wants it the most. Both teams are trying to earn their way into a BCS game. LSU must win this to better their chances and Arkansas must win to finalize a BCS game most likely.
LSU in their last two games have gave up a ton of yards to Bama and Ole Piss and it appears their defense is struggling after a season of being one of the best defenses in the country.
Arkansas has looked good on their 10 game win streak until they played their worst game of the year @ Misstake putting up 260 yards up total offense and only 120 on the ground, which is half of their season average.

Key to the Game If the Hogs run wild the game will be over before it starts. Controlling the line of scrimmage and not turning the ball over is what decides a football game and Arkansas does that well.

LSU has to open up the offense on the Hogs beat up secondary that has been playing above average lately returning two INTs for 150 yards, one for a score on Misstake. If Russ can fling the ball down the field, they have a great shot to win. As long as their D is performing like they used to.

In the end I think DMac is being quiet and is not doing many press related things because this is a personal game for him after last years tough loss. I think he will get his average of 118 yards on the ground in a late 4th quarter run of 30 yards.

Brut...is this a big rivalry game for both teams? I only ask because I am not familiar with it.

Not real big. But enough to be rivals. It's mainly between the players. Most are from their respective states and jaw at eachother all the time. Plus it's for the 5' Gold Boot Trophy.

Man, LSU just answered DMac's 80yd romp with a long one of their own.
Looks like Hogs might be cooked.
Pretty obvious IMO that LSU & FLA were the best teams in the SEC as of late though.

I was glad Tigers won, SEC had been interesting this year to say the least.

I can't sit here and deny the better team won.

But I will clarify.

The better team won, today. But not for the season.

Otherwise they'd be playing next week instead of watching us.

Arkansas shot themselves in the foot. We played horrible and still should have won. Missed XP's, 2PC's, and not challenging the obvious out of bounds catch LSU made for the 1st down with a few mins to play.

This is why I have preached since I have been here... Houston Nutt needs to go.

What pisses me off: Nutt has let Gus run the offense 75% of the time all year. But today, you could tell it was all Nutt play calling. He got cocky and decided to run his own gameplan while they practiced a different one all night.

Not to take shit away from LSU. They are a fucking good team and deserved the win today. But ever since the Hogs have been 100% healthy we have won 10 games in a row, til' today. We looked so bad, and the players for the most part did their job through an ever-changing gameplan Nutt was pulling from his ass.

Embarrasssssing. All our home games need to be moved to Fayetteville instead of 2 home games a year in Little Rock. The players have to get up extra early for a 3 hour trip to central Arkansas to play a fucking home game. Too much distraction.

Good job LSU. Les Miles took advantage of what was going on because he knew the situation. That was good coaching.

Sorry Brut...I was pulling for your guys.

Thanks. The season has been a success. We can lose to Florida then our bowl game, and still have a great year. Passed all expectations.

Thank goodness Arkansas fans can stop talking about deserving to go to the National Championship game.

I thought Arkansas would roll the tigers, a bit shocked at the outcome.

Yeah. As amazing as the Hogs have been playing, nobody was expecting this really.

Looks like they were looking ahead to the SEC Title game.
