That Ben Wallace was named Defensive Player of the Year over Bowen last season was a huge oversight, which is now becoming clear with Wallace laboring with the Bulls and showing last year's vote was more reputation than results.

:lol So the Spurs have a known aggressive defender in Bowen but the Mavs have sneaky, dirty players in Terry and Howard.
Well, how do you like that!

Bowen is not dirty, he's just aggressive defender. That's cool.
Terry and Howard are dirty, that is uncool .
Bowen rules.
Thanx for article.:)

lmao. I love your guys's homer-articles. Out of 450 players in the NBA, the author "coincidently" names J-ho and Jet, lol that was a good one. Maybe he doesn't remember Bowen kicking somebody's face (whoever he was)? or kicking ray allen either ? or the other many ocassions he's done shit like that. Good homer article nonetheless.

it is, i'm not denying it, but that's a 1-time thing. Show me jet's reputation to be like Bowen's and then you'll argue your case, Bowen has done it a million times, with many different players... IMO it wouldn't matter much if just 1 or 2 players seemed to thought that of Bowen, but that's the feeling by many people around the entire NBA, even people bowen doesn't guard, so you can't use the "they're frustrated" thing.

This stumps mavs everytime
If Bowen is so dirty why hasn't the league warned him? Suspended him? Reprimanded him? Considering how 'dirty' he his wouldn't you think he would have the most suspensions? Fines?.....

A million times? Over the entire NBA? So that would mean players on every single team consider him dirty. Where did you read this? I've only seen few players refer to Bowen as dirty and it's usually after they just got owned. Maybe these players told you over a round of beers.
People that Bowen doesn't gaurd aren't the most qualified to judge his playing so I don't know why you would bring that up. I can't think of any of these players that come out and said this. Was this another personal conversation that you had?
What I liked about this article is that it brought up players like Laimbeer and Malone who were unquestionably dirty. I think a lot of people who whine & cry about Bowen have never seen a Karl Malone flying-knee to chest or a bodyslam courtesy of Bill Laimbeer. Maybe they're just to quick to forget.

Bowen is the best defender in NBA. LBJ will not score 10 points against Bowen, if Stu did not call. I love Bowen because he is clean and he is not dirty. I don't understand why people keep calling him dirty. He is Duncan's best friend. It is no way he is dirty. Kerr never said Bowen was dirty. I love Bowen. I love that thing between Boween and Allen. It was cool.
