I liked it as well as I like Gore's.
And, just like Gore's, I felt it was way overdue...

I agree with you , Joe. I felt it was truly heartfelt and I thought he handled the whole situation admirably. He took a little time to come to acceptance with what happened but not anything out of line. In fact he called President Bush and conceded before Bush even officially had his 270 electoral votes.

Bush shouldve had 286, for some reason they are wiating on New Mexico and Iowa.

I heard soundbytes on the radio, "In an American election, there are no losers..." Michael Medved had fun with that one...

Fun how? I agree because I felt, and still do, that no matter what the outcome of the election would be that America would continue to be the greatest nation on earth.
I'm Joe Chalupa and I approved this post.

I agree, he had a good speech.
The only thing I didn't get was Edwards was sitting there saying the fight's just begun, blah blah blah. Then two laters later I caught Joe Lockhart (Demo stooge) on tv saying "Kerry said it, but he didn't really mean it. To the democrats in Washington, I say get a good night sleep, tomorrow when we wake up the fight starts again."
To make this nation truly great, the partisan bullshit needs to get cut out.

My feelings exactly in response to that post.
Kerry's concession speech was a classy finish to an ugly campaign on both sides.

Really, what fucking choice did he have?
3 1/2 million votes down... 3% gap in Ohio... He should have made the call when I went to bed at 10:30 the night before. He only conceded when he realized the Party Bosses in Ohio had failed him.
All concession speeches are "classy." Algore's was one of the best I'd ever heard; look at the rabid dog he became since that "classy" concession. Kerry's concession doesn't make up for the nearly 12 months of nonsense Kerry put the nation through on the run up to the election. It only underscores his hipocrisy. He's a jerk, he's always been a jerk, he'll be a jerk when he wakes up tomorrow. Thank God he won't be President Jerk.

Considering how ugly this campaign had been, it was nice to see a classy concession speech. That's all I was saying.
But I forget that he is purely evil and Bush is a deity now. ;)

Nice superlatives...now, take a deep breath and bring them both toward the earthly center and, you'll be closer to the truth.

Both are about equal in the morals category from my point of view. I don't think either is a bad guy, I don't think either is a great human being. But, that's all I have to say on that ...
I am just glad this ugly campaign is behind us.

You're point of view is screwed up then.
I don't think either is a bad guy,...
I take it you haven't really reviewed Senator Kerry's testimony before the 1971 Senate committee, have you?
I don't think either is a great human being.
I think the Afghanis and non-Ba'athist-remnant Iraqis would disagree.
But, that's all I have to say on that ...
That's probably a good thing.
I am just glad this ugly campaign is behind us.
Agreed.

I have.
Okay, then give me the Bush moral equivalent of treason.
Because I don't agree with you, my opinion is screwed up. Got it.
Faced with the same set of facts, I have to say, yeah.
