he Utah Jazz don't seem to need much help, but they're about to get some -- Andrei Kirilenko is ready to return from the sprained right ankle that has forced him to miss the last five games.

Kirilenko is expected to return to the lineup for the Jazz (11-1) on Friday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a report in the Salt Lake Tribune, though head coach Jerry Sloan does not have a plan for playing time for his star forward.

"I'll have to see Andrei play," Sloan told the Tribune. "Maybe he's better coming off the bench. I don't know where he's at right now."

Rookie Ronnie Brewer has filled in for Kirilenko in his absence, averaging 9.2 points in five games as a starter.

Kirilenko has averaged 13.7 points per game in five-plus seasons with the Jazz.
