Why do they play the same commercial without changes for 25 straight years?

The SAXET Gun Show radio commercial. Comments from various hick-sounding people "They's got sumthin' fer ever body"

Then they close it out with a resounding..."Yeowwwww, Gun Showwwww!"

Why don't they make a clean break and do something fresher than....
"Yeowwwww, Gun Showwwwwwww!" Hmmmm?

Driving around San Antonio, or Dallas or various cities there is a Billboard advertising the Nationally Syndicated Talk Radio Show, The Laura Ingraham Show.

Perhaps you've seen these billboards. They have a picture of what is supposed to be Laura Ingraham (picture above), but I say "hmmm, that looks more like Tea Leoni to me". Why is she using a picture of Tea Leoni? Hmmmm.

They still run those SAXET commercials? The only ones I hear now on the radio are the "stale" (Family) ones. Course ticket-760 has the guy whose the voice for Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast.

Yeah, Pooh, they sure do. I heard it on the Ticket today.
BTW...
Those commercials? It's more like That commercial (singular). I don't think they've ever had more than one to this day.

It's sort of like that Discount Tire commercial on TV with the old lady throwing that tire through the store window. Haven't they been showing that clip since the late 70s or something? It makes me go, hmmmm? also.

I'm referring to the TV commerical too. They show one with a little macauley culkin face and at the end it looks like he's picking his nose.

It's not old, but I'm getting really tired of those Aramendia Plumbing TV and billboard ads.

The one that's really starting to bug me is the one with the cowboy who's supposedly man enough to talk about prostate cancer, but he doesn't say a word in the freaking commercial.

"Can you hear me now?" If I saw that guy walking by while I was driving I'd swerve up on the side walk and take him out!

EDIT: Wait a mintute that sounded bad. "...and run him down!"

That's better!

:lol ^

And another thing. Why don't they just come out and call it the TEXAS gun show? Are they spelling it backwards just to be clever, or to be mysterious, or what? I gess they's jus' got all var-eye-tees of folks.

I think it is state law that they can't use the name or likeness of the state in any advertising or naming of the show. It is clever that being the case.
