The election results in Afghanistan were also finalized today.

Talk about some powerful symbolism...

The greatest democracy in the world and the younget democracy in the world, both announcing the results from their national elections on the same day.

There were that under the Taliban as well. At least now, we have a government in place with whom we can communicate and work to eradicate the illicit drug trade -- supplanting it with something else.
