Why we'd have three titles now if he were here last season and not Hedo.

Hedo could never drive the lanes or pass out like Barry.

I am so glad we have Brent.

No doubt. I love the way he's everywhere on the court on offense instead of how Jax and Hedo would just stand around and wait for a pass.

Not to mention his three point shopoting. Started cold with a couple of misses but in the end he was there to help close the game out.

Uhhhh...settle down now. It is one game. The first game of the season. I'm sure Hedo had games where he looked like he would be the missing piece. This is on par with saying Spurs are on pace to win 82 games.

Umm no it's not.

It's the fact that Barry moves around on offense while Jax and Hedo were prone to just standing at the three point line waiting for a shoot.

Brent drives the lane or he dishes out nice passes. Neither of which Jax or Hedo could do. Not to mention he's a better three point shooter then both of them.

It's quite simple.

Barry has balls.

Hedo has no balls.

Any questions?

I'm not denying that Barry is a better fit. However putting the blame for the early playoff exit on Hedo is way off. I'm glad we got Barry...He is more like a Manu with a Kerr shot.

None. :smokin :drunk :cooldevil

As we've said all off-season, Barry will be integral.

once again Sequ makes agreat point.

Barry out there was relentless. Defensively, amazing how much hes improved since against the New York Knicks.

Offensively, he fits perfectly. The offense is moving well, hes in the right spots, his jump shot is absolutely beautifull.

This guy already has shown more than Hedo.

Hedo wouldnt have made half the tough shots that Barry did tonight.

Barry nailed a nails three where the Kings cut it to 10 with 3 minutes left, and bagged a nuthin but netter with about 3 left on the shot clock.

Brent Barry will be JUUUUST fine.

AHF's prediction: Barry will be 6th Man of the Year.

I agree throw in the chokeing dog Robert Horry in there with him for the reasons we lost.

Also the coaching staff going away from the game plans and Parker being exhausted as the others.

BTW, Robert Horry looked pretty much worthless out there tonight, and Malik Rose looked like Malik circa 02 03.

Robert Horry looked slow, behind, and just not like he wanted to be there.

Either theres an injury, or apathy.

You guys act as though Hedo never went 3-6 from 3 in a game before.

I like Barry too, but let's keep the wheels on, shall we?

The wheels are on.

Whats not to like, the guy's agressiveness is twice what Hedo's was.

His fearlessness is off the charts.

he moves better, and actually looks like he wants to be out there.

Sorry, getting too happy about a win, better hope for a loss I guess.

Where in my posts did I only mention his three point shooting. Please reread and then reply.

Brent does a lot more than toss in a couple of threes.

The assists, the hustle, he moves without the ball, he's got the Manu court smarts, the list goes on and on.

The Barry Acquisition is looking good right now. Hopefully by the end of the year it will be looking like one of the best acquisitions the franchise has made recently. His first couple of shots didn't look too good and I thought for a moment that Brent's initial shooting problems in the pre-season were going to make a first game show but he settled quite nicely and put together a great game. But more than his shooting, he was playing like a Manu-Lite. He was all over the court, getting in the passing lanes, blocking some shots, couple of great passes, rebounds in traffic, providing some energy, etc. And the best part was that every time Brent missed a shot, he came down on the other end of the floor and did something good defensively. Great job by the Spurs and Brent.

Barry's amazing in transition, and I love the way he was attacking the basket last night. He's such an excellent passer too.

I think Brent has already made more layups for the Spurs than Hedo did all of last year. Why a 6'10 dude can't make a layup is beyond me.

Barry seems to still have some hops left. Nothing spectacular but he kinda eases to the bucket.
