Yeah Manu was out.

But how many times have other stars been out and we'd beat them?

Lakers of some years ago, Suns w/o Amare.... others.

Remember we don't start so hot every year in the first 20-25 or so games and we are a good 11-5.

Problem is that card is real. Injuries happen.

The injury card is fake?

The injury card is fake?
You my friend ran with someone else's assumption.

For ignorance of others let me explain.

The "Spurs start season bad" card is real cause it happens almost every year.

The "injury" card is not real because every team and every player get injured but still you play the So and So Soso's, not the Amareless Suns. A team is a team with or without injuries and have no excuse in losing. Therefor playing that card is impossible. Where as, playing the Spurs usually start out bad card is legit because the fact remains.

The fact remains they are missing their starting 2 guard who is an important cog.

I don't see how that is considered not real, as opposed to starting out slow is.

But they often lose when a starter is injured.

Card real.

Not that I want to use either.

Nor me. But if you wanna play a card that'd be the one to play. If people (as they usually do) freak out after we lose, at least they can be content with the overall record being better than recent years.

If people freak out after we lose, fuck'em.

The "we got our asses kicked" card trumps them all.

to continue the card analogies, what's wrong with calling a spade a spade? miami without shaq (due to injury) is not the same team. spurs without manu are not at the level that utah is this year. they are a good team, we are a better one with manu. "we got our asses kicked" is a hand made up of many cards, so to speak.

Finley/Barry/Horry/Oberto were a combined 3/17! :hang

Jesus, what the hell happened up in Salt Lake last night? Did our guys just suck or was Utah's defense really good?
