Not only do the Raptors suck,
but this is how our commentator responds to a 20pt loss

"is darrick martin going to dribble it out, or hoist up a three?
this streak is over folks, at 648, and now hes going to jack it up

HE MAKES IT, I DON'T BELIEVE IT, ONIONS BABY, ONIONS!!!

Darrick martin keeping the streak ALIVE,
you gotta be kidding me!!!!!!"

he acts as if toronto has just won a championship...
if u wanna see this, search on youtube for darrick martin, its like the 2nd result

the other thing to cheer about for tha raptors is that if martin hadn't made that three then the record would've gone to the team they were playing, the mavs...at least they denied the opposing team of something

It is a privilege watching a player like TJ Ford work the ball. If you guys drop a couple of the suck ass euros and get some muscle underneath, you'll be a decent east team.

The whole eastern conference is tanking for Oden. I bet Memphis gets no 1 pick.

Raptors have a good future in my opinion, they'll click soon. Vince even said he'd like to play there again.

Oden and Gasol? :ihit

But no, Gasol's return will turn the Grizzlies around and possibly sneak in at an 8th playoff seed.

Nah, Gasol says he'll be bacj by January, and they have a huge chance of still making the playoffs. I give this one to Portland or Philadelphia

Meanwhile, Anthony Johnson has decided to be a bitch about the whole situation.

The Mavs were unaware that they would have taken ownership of an NBA streak if not for a 3-pointer by Toronto's Darrick Martin at the final buzzer of Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

Martin was dribbling out the final eight seconds of the game when he decided to pull up with one second left and drill a 3-pointer. It was the only 3-pointer of the game for the Raptors and extended their streak of making at least one 3-pointer to 629 games. The Mavs' streak is at 625 games.

"When he was just holding the ball and then shot a 3, it was a surprise that he would do that," guard Anthony Johnson said. "But at the same time, whatever goal that they have as far as keeping streaks alive, they don't coincide with our goals as far as winning a championship. So we really don't pay much attention to petty goals like that."

The Mavs had a similar streak-ending scare during the final game of the season last year when center DeSagana Diop nailed the Mavs' lone 3-pointer in the waning seconds of an 85-71 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. It was the only 3-pointer Diop made all season, but it kept the Mavs' streak alive at 610 games.

I guess Anthony didn't get the message that the there were 15 seconds left in a 20 point game. It's not like the Raptors were chucking up 3s trying to keep the streak alive at the expense of winning the game, the game was for all intents and purposes already over.

haha, diop scored a 3?
thats awesome

I think that Colangelo has the ability to turn the Raptors franchise into a winning organization. Immediately trading for Ford might not have been a great move (because of what they lost), but I think they could be a decent playoff threat by next season and in the years to come.
