Try and stay with me here: if our role players aren't playing for shit, what exactly do you think we'll get in return if we trade them? LeBron?

It's damn Dec. 2..... You step up and support the Spurs if you're a fan... The Mavs lost 4 in row, but I didn't see any of their fans acting like this, nor the PHX fans. Grow up please! It's a game, and when you play a game sometimes you loose dammit! It's like some people on here expect the Spurs to go 82-0

True, but my point is it's too early in the season for the schitzos to come out. If we go on some 0-5 game losing streak in March then complain... NOT ON DEC. 2

The first 3 weeks of the season we were the best team, we aren't now, this is called a MOMENTUM SHIFT, things will shift around and change, no one team was ever a clear absolute favorite throughout the entire season.

Mavs are on the up, Spurs were on the down but they'll snap out of it and find their game on the Rodeo road trip and likely go 6-2, or 7-1. That's as good as you can ask for.

It's the first full month of the season being completed nobody is a surefire favorite, but teams will go off and on streaks as the season progresses and that's how sports are. Deal with it, because otherwise you aren't really a fan.

Popovich KNOWS whats up, you guys get so upset over a regular season loss or a tightly contested game... but why? Mavs fans I know even now don't care about regular season because that doesn't matter, you just need to get yourself wins to earn a ticket to the real season in May. Don't become like the old Mavs fans, thinking regular season is all that matters! Get over these regular season games, they prove nothing. Did the Heat look like contenders last year? No, not until they took over the playoffs (see, Detroit Tigers, they lost motivation and momentum but nobody thought they'd even make the playoffs, they made it to the World Series).

Basically, this team has a legit shot, and so does Dallas, so does Cleveland, so does Orlando I think. Even Detroit, Phoenix, and Miami still have potential chances. By definition, EVERYBODY has a chance, it's all about turning it on at the right time. Personally I'd rather have the Spurs play playoff games on the road due to how great they've been on the road and I won't let the last two road games change my mind.

This Spur team is the best overall team we've had for a long time. Last years problems were rebounding, this year we have a much improved team and once the playoffs hit, this topic should be bumped to see how wrong it is.

The Spurs Core are playing great, but we need the bench and role players to get with it also.

They certainly won't win it now. It's December. They're going to have to wait six months.

I realize that there's more to your point than a record, but you do realize that the Spurs have the 4th best record in the NBA this morning, even with their struggles. Is that not "good" enough? Is it "good" enough only if they're up 3-4 games on the whole league right now?

Spurs fans are spoiled.

If your child takes an exam, and every one in the class fails the exam, but your child fails with the highest failing mark are you happy?

It’s not about the record but the performance.

Pop is aware that the record is ok, but he is more concern about his team performance.

No, if everyone in a class is failing, I'd look first to see how the teacher was teaching the course and whether the test was fairly given.

I'm not going to argue that performance is not at it's peak, but it shouldn't be at peak FOR ANYONE IN THE LEAGUE. Championships are not won in December, they are won in May and June.

No one is arguing that the Spurs are perfect, they are simply telling you to calm the fuck down, because it's pointless to get this wound up over a very good winning record in Decemeber. It's not like you personally can trade any of these players or run them out and while you may not agree with the decisions, the coaches are clearly willing to let them play through it.

I feel really sorry for people like you who can't get any enjoyment of watching your team in the regular season. You are likely to have a heart attack if they don't win the championship.

Spurs fans are indeed quite spoiled. They WILL lose games. They will play poorly against other teams, and yeah, it sucks, but that's what happens. It's better that they go through the struggle now, because it will make them better. We are not going to have a 70-win season, so get used to a few losses every month. If we stay on par, then 5 losses a month means a kick ass season, and a very good chance at winning it all.

Spurs organization knows what it at stake here. They are professionals. They've done this a few times. So calm the fuck down and enjoy the ride.

Assuming the kids aren't graded on a bell curve I would not be happy, but I would be more pissed at the teacher than my child.

I think why we get worried is because look at teams like the Jazz and the Mavs-they are playing pretty good basketball right now. I know I forget all the time that the Spurs play better in the second half of the season, even if their record is really good from the start.
