Just saw that despite Zito's desires to play in NY or LA that the Texas Rangers are the fav due to:
--->Washington being in Texas
--->Zito's old pitching coach being in Texas
--->$100 million over 6 yrs

Padilla and Millwood in Texas. Could've been great if Chris Young wasn't sent away for Eaton who signed with Philly last wk. FUCK!!

$100 million? Damn, you don't even have to be that good anymore to make bank...

His numbers are AWESOME at Ameriquest. He won 17 last year with barely any offensive support, imagine what he could do with our infield bats.

Alas though, I bet the Mets will do some dumb shit and get him at the last minute so I am sooo not going to get my hopes up. :(

Maybe the Washington hire can get us some of that Oakland talent that has been making the playoffs over the last several years.

Paying 10 mill a year to Padilla is one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen.

what about 10 mill to ted lily? i think we'll end up seeing woody williams overpaid for 8 mill a bargain by the start of the season.

No 8 to Woody Williams will still be nuts.

10 million to Ted Lilly is lunacy as well.

I find it nuts to be supposedly the Cardinals trying to sweeten a 3 year 47 million dollar deal for a guy thats on the downhill side of his career.

The Mariners are going after him hard. Safeco Field would fit him perfectly.

What the demand of pitching must be at an all time high. 4 years/ 40 million for Lily, a career .500 pitcher with a career 4.60 ERA? Where's my glove...

Where is there room in the Red Sox rotation for Zito? Or the money after signing Matsuzaka.

Its between Mets and Rangers and I am sure Minaya will pony up the money necessary to get it done. I would love to see Zito in Rangers blue but I won't hold my breath.

Dude, its still Rangers blue. That is their primary team color, despite them wearing home whites or road grays alot. It's a friggin expression.
