Japan and Germany were part of "The Axis" - and unlike Dubya's rhetorical "Axis of Evil", these two countries were, in fact, REAL diplomatic and strategic allies against Great Britain, the Soviet Union...and after Pearl Harbor, the United States.

You can make a case for Syria and Iran as "strategic allies". Not so with Iraq (except in neocon fantasy constructs).

Again, I don't understand why you'd come to a forum to debate and then put people on ignore. I had Boutons on ignore for a while because he drove me nuts but then I thought, you know, that's not fair to not listen to others opinions just because they differ from yours.

What fun or good would it do you if you put all the people that disagree with you on ignore? If you do this, you are just blogging and not actually discussing and debating.............Does this make Boutons a communist?
