Dallas down by 7 with 1:38 and all the pathetic fans have already left the building. The games not even over yet. Hilarious.

Huge missed 3 by Dirk and then uptempo and-1 for Tay Prince! I believe that just about does it.

I posted about Dallas in the Phoenix thread. I was afraid the post could jinx things- was no way I was making an actual thread. :lol

fyi- Usher is going to be a guest on Inside the NBA after game two tonight.

That's nice that they are going to interview an usher after the game. A good way to recognize the working people.

Detroit totally controlled that game. Sheed hot from outside helped, but 82 points for the Mavs? Nice. Hope Pop keeps the game tape.

Definitely. I want to see the Spurs do the same type of Defensive tempo, and control our WINS against Dallas like that.

Detroit didn't seem to play Nazr much. I wonder if Pop will feel vindicated?

Nazr did fantastic from what I saw of the game

he had some great boards in traffic and had some nice dunks and buckets around the basket

He was huge for the time that he played

I really hope the Spurs can see how badly rebounds matter against dallas, b/c had detroit not had such a big rebound advantage, they obviously would've had a big chance of blowing the game

Also, detroit D in that game looked better and sustain for much longer than the Spurs ever played D against the mavs this year or last

fuck small ball

Well I hate the mavericks and any loss is almost as good as win for the Spurs. With that being said Steve Kerr hit the nail on the head when he made the point that Dallas usually has a high scoring 1st qtr..I then realized that in the last game as well as game 7 the mavs shot over 70% in the 1st qtr and jumped out to a big leads. They then just hung on and won each game. Billups made the point after the game that the Pistons were aware of the Mavs quick starts and they were not going o allow them to do it.. When we have beaten the mavs they did not have quick starts... Seems to me that we need to ensure the Mavs don't have a big quarter.. when they don't they seem to lose.. Oh did I mention that I hate the mavs?

Nazr fumbled the ball 2 or 3 times, same old Nazr.

yup same old Naz

Dallas is not the same regular season team as last season. You can see it by the team stats. Hopefully they won't be the same playoff team either.

Detroit actually slowed the game and used BIG MEN to beat Dallas. You listening POP!!!!????

Mavs have scored 30+ pts in 9 1st qtrs.

But last night it was Det who started hot,
Mavs couldn't warm up enough to catch them,
but the Mavs did finish strong, 4th qtr, 22 - 16.
