When you think about it.........

-Barry shhoting insanely well

-Nets-Suns scoring at will

-JR Smith 7 3's at halftime, 27 points, against Miami...JR Smith?

Not to mention the NBA's scoring has gone up... the 85ppg allowed is nowhere in sight.

I've been mentioning this for a while.

Yeah, you can notice it in the shots around the bucket - I see balls bang hard off the glass and then suddenly die and roll into the hoop... those balls would have come off hard with the old ball... in terms of 3pt shooting, I think these same lucky bounces/rolls play a similar factor.

Nash is like shooting 51.9 percent

Barry still in the 60's still 55??

Luke Walton is supposedly one of the top 3 point shooters now?

Obviously it favors purer shooters, and jumpshots.

Kind of annoying if you think about it. But in the case of Barry...Ohh well. :lol

Ask Ray Allen.

Yea more shots go in, just look at the ugly 3 vince carter made to send it into overtime in the beginning of the year. It hit the back of the rim and rolled in, slowly :dramaquee

Luke Walton has always been a very good shooter.

Obviously it favors purer shooters, and jumpshots.

Not really.... simply because the rebounding has gone up too....

Maybe it's just favorable to isolated players?

I just think it's odd that some of the 3 point specialists are having above-average games into this season, even Wallace hit 5 of 7 or something, but maybe it's really unrelated. I don't get why Barry's so good, but I guess it has more to do with him growing some balls, than the new ball.

Finley is sucking, so yeah you're probably right. Some players are having horrible FG percentages.
Though the numbers of PPG and PPGA have gone up this year. So I think it has an effect both ways.

and I have seen a couple three pointer Bank-shots that went in, where usually I don't recall those type of shots going in,

also one of the first games a Manu high glass layup, dropped in like it had little or no bounce off the glass, it literally just stuck to the backboard for a microsecond, and then fell straight in, rather than lobbing out a little.
This is just surmising now, but the ball could possibly account for a couple shots per game falling in, that normally wouldn't have last year, with the old ball.
