Answer to reason number #50 - that will be coming very soon.
Why would I want to watch a Spurs game? If it was against the Pacers, yes...if some would actually SHOW up. But for the rest of the responses so far...*censored*

this from the guy who called me closed minded when I said I couldn't go to a potential GTG for game 1 of the ECF because I had plans with my wife? nice.

so you support that statement?
besides you know that the GTG's are about being social almost as much as they are about the games themselves.

The first GTG I went to back in 2002 was (to me) more social because I hadn't met anyone before...but the one I went to earlier this year, I was all into the game and pretty much nothing else.

My take is this:
If you are a poster here and you live in San Antonio, then you should go to the gtgs.
For one, to be united with other Spurs fans. Two, to socialize. All of them have been fantastic both here and at other sites. It shows the common theme to which most of us found this place. The Spurs.
The only time we don't go is when we have some other function usually related to our kids.
You can get anywhere in San Antonio in 20 minutes, so a short drive is no damn excuse.
Try moving to another city. Then you can complain.

It's optional...not manditory.

Key word: "most".

Agreed.

It's 30 minutes for me to get out to UTSA. Your theory is shot.

No.

Hey I made this topic to see if I could get Pooh Motivated to go. I did not want anyone to get upset in the process. I don't think it's fare to really force anyone to a gtg and I am not sure I want someone there who did not want to be there,
But how can you turn down free food free drinks and a chance to meet folks behind the screen name? Kori's GTG's are open to the public and where you post or who you root for is not Important so with that said........
#37 Pooh did not care to go.
