Elson with the hook in the lane. I really really like Elson.

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:13 PM
All of the Spurs points in the lane so far.

GrandeDavid

I'm watching the game from my hotel room in Sao Paulo. Go Spurs!

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:16 PM
Manu drains a rainbow 3

11-6 Spurs

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:16 PM
Spurs rebounding very well in the early going.

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:17 PM
And hitting almost every shot they take.

12-13-2006, 08:17 PM
I'm listening to a live radio feed. :spin

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:20 PM
There is no way James can stick with Parker. Tony needs to take him every single time.

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 08:20 PM
Nevermind. Although it says I get ESPN International on the TV controller, all that comes on is snow. Oh well. Go Spurs!

jmard5
12-13-2006, 08:21 PM
I'm hearing that the Spurs are going aggressive with the Wolves. And that they're doing good.

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 08:21 PM
Manny, "oi" from Sao Paulo. How ya doin, tonight?

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:23 PM

12-13-2006, 08:25 PM
Parker with 2 fouls in the 1st quarter.

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 08:25 PM
^There ya go, dude!

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:27 PM
BS foul call on Bowen. The Spurs need to pick up their D. The Twolves should not be so close.

Oh man and then a BS call on Tim.

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:27 PM
Fouls and Mark Blount are really hurting the Spurs

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:28 PM
Tim with a block on James then is lucky to get a coast to cost layup. He should have given the ball up to a guard and nearly had it stolen by Garnett.

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 08:29 PM
Mark freaking Blount hits another bucket and he has 10 in the Q. Then blocks Duncan on the other end.

slayermin
12-13-2006, 08:34 PM
Didn't Mike James score 40 on us last year?

Gerryatrics
12-13-2006, 08:34 PM
I don't have the game on TV, but what's with the lineup? Udrih Ginobili Barry Horry Elson?

Spurs suck

PM5K
12-13-2006, 08:52 PM
Sean Elliott is stupid, playing outside is not a fault in Kevin Garnetts game, just the same as it's not a fault in Dirks game, if you can hit the shots you can hit them, and both players can with consitency.

Certainly one would expect guys with the size that Dirk and Kevin have to play closer to the basket, but points are points.

E20
12-13-2006, 08:53 PM
Is this game on National TV?

PM5K
12-13-2006, 08:53 PM
And Tim Duncan hit the guys elbow before he ever hit the ball, which is a foul...

How is Nies a douchebag?

TDfan2007
12-13-2006, 09:01 PM
that was an awful defensive 1st half. The Spurs need to figure out a way to stop KG because he seems on a mission tonight.

Darkwaters

Haha, Bonner with the 3. Who would have thought?

loveforthegame
12-13-2006, 09:01 PM
Nice run by the Spurs to get back in the game before the half.

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 09:02 PM
First of all, Garnett is no where near the shooter Dirk is. Garnett would have been much better off working on low post scoring than a 3 point shot.

picnroll
12-13-2006, 09:02 PM
Nies has always had it out fore Duncan. He's the dipshit that got in Duncan's way and when Duncan accidentally pushed him going for the ball Nies tossed him. You see Duncan staring at Nies for about five seconds after the score, Garnett fouling him and no call by Nies who was standing there.

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 09:04 PM
The Wolves shot 66% in the first half and went to the line way more than the Spurs did. Turnovers are low for both teams. This bodes well for a Spurs comeback.

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 09:05 PM
Put Chad in.

PM5K
12-13-2006, 09:06 PM
First of all, Garnett is no where near the shooter Dirk is. Garnett would have been much better off working on low post scoring than a 3 point shot.

Yeah you are right, Kevin shoots a consistently higher percentage....

He hasn't worked on his three point shot, he doesn't really even shoot the three, about half a shot per game...

GrandeDavid
12-13-2006, 09:06 PM
Put Chad in. Or let Carson throw some outlets to Francisco. Go Bengals!

sandman
12-13-2006, 09:09 PM
Sitting here in BW3's watching the game while I do my homework. They will only put the game on one small TV in the corner. Damn Rocket fans!

MannyIsGod
12-13-2006, 09:09 PM
Yeah you are right, Kevin shoots a consistently higher percentage....

He hasn't worked on his three point shot, he doesn't really even shoot the three, about half a shot per game...Several seaosns ago he spent much of the summer working on a 3 point shot. It was at a time when he would have been better off working on his low point game. Garnett would rather shoot jumpers than mix it up in the lane, and that IS a weakness. Dirk took his game to a higher level when he stopped being a pure outside shooter and mixed him other parts of his game.

Spurologist
12-13-2006, 09:14 PM
Put Chad in. Or let Carson throw some outlets to Francisco. Go Bengals!

They'd probably call a travel after the catch so I'm guessing that won't work.

They didn't sound too bad to me. They were about as objective as a team's paid announcers are going to sound, and they made some good points. They are two of the better around the league in my opinion

Garnett only contributed 1pt in the 4th, if I'm not mistaken.

Odd to see a player as good as he is to just lay down like that...or was it bec of the Spurs defense?

I don't know, any time an announcer berates the home team's fans for being, in essence, biased, I kinda turn off.

I turned on the game right as they were bashing the fans, and they pissed me off, too.

Once the Spurs win was inevitable, though, they got better.

Yeah, that was a bit rough - but aside from that I thought their game analysis was better than a lot of other team's announcers. Every team's announcers are homers. If the Spurs were paying me a big chuck of change to broadcast their games to their fans... I'd be a smoking big homer too.

That's true. Once the Twolves threw in the towel, they were perfect gentlemen.

If games ended at half time, Kevin Garnett might've gone down as the best player of all-time. Too bad for him there is a third and fourth quarter.

I can't believe the T'Wolves haven't figured this out. If you are McHale, you give up everything you have outside of KG to get Iverson. Iverson as Jordan and KG as Pippen could actually do some damage.

A team with KG as its primary offensive threat will never win a playoff series.

I don't know..the T-Wolves have a lot of talent. James and Davis can certainly score; I doubt Iverson will help things

Great game, got their early to watch the warm ups and I got Manu to sign my jersey! That thing's going in a frame with my Game 7 ticket to the '05 championship and my ticket to the ring ceremony last year...it's gonna look good on my wall.

As for the game, I was irritated that the Spurs were letting Mark Blount get whatever he fucking wanted the entire first half. I always appreciate a W, but the Spurs have got to stop acting like the game doesn't start until after halftime. And start rebounding.

IMHO: play of the game = Puppies inbounding ball, no one touches it and I think vaighn picked it up for an easy layup with the ref in the background shrugging his shoulders as it happened. :lol

Yeah that was funny, it was Parker that picked up the ball made the shot though.

Parker was >>>>>>>>>>>>James this match.
Damned Casey.
We would have need less MJ and Hassel and more Jaric and Foye at the court.

Looks like I'm famous now. That's me in the Spurs fleece jacket on the right. I was so stoked when I saw this.
