Entry 2: Canon 6.2MP PowerShot SD630 Digital ELPH Camera

http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/01/38/03/06/0001380306273_500X500.jpg

The ultra-thin, ultra-stylish PowerShot SD630 Digital ELPH offers a full range of enhanced shooting features that make taking pictures more comfortable and more exciting. The 6.2MP level provides plenty of resolution, while the super-sized 3.0 inch LCD screen makes taking, reviewing and sharing your shots a snap.

Key Features & Benefits:
# 6.2 megapixels

The standard amount of megapixels necessary to take crisp 8 1/2" x 11" prints

# 3.0" LCD display

Giant display to help you easily compose and capture those magical moments

# Zoom lens - 5.8 mm - 17.4 mm - f/2.8-4.9; 4x optical zoom

The optical zoom helps you magnify what the zoom lens sees to pick out your subject, like your kid across the soccer field

# Maximum shutter speed 1/1500 second; Minimum 15 seconds

Control whether you need crisp shots of fast-paced action or a saturated artistically blurred shot

# AVI digital movie format

Point and shoot or point and film; you can capture snippets of video using all the other attributes of the camera

And the best part is Walmart.com (my nemisis) has the camera so low they are afraid to advertise it - it's $234.54.

Order here: Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4858059)

Well, this is really low-end, but I bought this doo-hickey for my husband last night at Radio Shack. It's a set of 2 credit-card sized locator thingies. Like, you clip one to your keys and one to your wallet and if you lose either of them, you can use the other to find it. It's 20 bucks for a pack of 2, and you can program as many as 6 of them to find any of the others. It probably seems corny, but RandomGuy has serious ADD and EVERY SINGLE DAY we spend at least 10 minutes looking for his keys or his wallet or his ID badge for work or his phone. Every day. So, I'm hoping this will actually make our lives a little simpler. OH! And the remote for the cable box, without which we simply cannot function. :lol I gotta figure out how to attach one of those things to the remote and then we'll be good.

I got a phone call from my brother up in Vail this morning. He was at Costco and told me he was standing there looking at about 50 of those bundle packs going for $699. Each customer was only allowed one. I bet all those that stood in line for hours not even a month ago feel kind of stupid now. Or for that matter, those that were paying $1500 on ebay.

Entry 9: Bacardi Silver Serve Up The Holidays Instant Win game

http://www.absweepstakes.com/5262-714/images/sweeps_ad.jpg

I'm kinda reluctant to give this one up because I've already won 2 Holiday gift packs and everyone I know who has bothered to enter, has won in less than a week (you can play everyday till you win), but consider this one a gift for the forum.

Bacardi Silver (http://www.bacardisilver.com/index.html)

Just let me know how many tries it takes you to win!

I won the holiday pack on the second try. I was excited about it too since I figured it would be free liquor. Instead I'm going to get some recipe cards, a recipe card holder, "naughty" and "nice" towels, stirreres, and some other stupid fucking present. Total value of prize pack is $40. While the prizes certainly suck, hey, at least they're free. Good job NbaDan.

Jesus is the reason for the season:

Deal 17: Passion of the Christ Widescreen DVD

http://shop.famvid.com/catalog/famvid/muze/images/dvd/84/227784.jpg

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST depicts the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus of Nazareth (Jim Caviezel), beginning with his betrayal by Judas Iscariot (Luca Lionello) and ending with his crucifixion and subsequent resurrection. Directed by Mel Gibson (BRAVEHEART)--who funded the film himself and co-wrote the screenplay--PASSION uses flashbacks to substantiate a handful of pertinent moments in Jesus' life and teachings, such as the Sermon on the Mount and the Last Supper, as well as his relationships with his mother and his disciples. Still, the drama focuses on the seemingly endless torture inflicted upon Jesus by Roman soldiers at the urging of the Jewish crowd that considers him a blasphemer, despite the attempts of a sympathetic Pontius Pilate (Hristo Naumov Shopov) to spare him from death. The faint of heart should be prepared for the brutal, barbaric beatings that Christ endures. Maia Morgenstern, Monica Bellucci, and Hristo Jivkov are touching as Mary, Magdalene, and John respectively, who are devastated by Jesus' fate yet aware that they can do nothing to change it. Performed in Aramaic and Latin with English subtitles, Gibson's labor of love is sure to prompt discussion and debate as to historical and Biblical fact.
