Carmelo deserves to start as a Western Conference all star forward. KG and Duncan might deserve it to, but so far this season, I think Carmelo should at least be one of the starters. With Tim, KG, Dirk, Boozer, Matrix, Odom, and Randolph, the forward position on the WC all star team is again loaded and some of those players deserving won't be there.

I've just given up on fan voting - when Shaq is number despite only playing in 4 games and Dwight Howard deserves it so much more, it just pisses me off. I'm also thinking that Caron Butler, Carlos Boozer, Deron Williams, Amare (to a degree - and if he keeps this up), Nash, and Melo should all be at or near the top of the voting. Iverson, Vince Carter, and Marbury should not even be factoring into the Easts All-Star picture right now (at least until AI is traded).

it's a popularity contest, thats all, let the fans decide who plays in Feb and let the real Teams decide who is still playing in June.

It's easy to figure out. Thousands of chinese-americans vote for Yao and then proceed to vote for another Rocket since they don't really follow the league as a whole.
