"This time, Pau will be without both big man Ian Mahinmi (3.9 ppg., 3.3 rpg.) and veteran point guard Frederic Fauthoux, both injured."

Mahinmi's injury is a small tearing of his right thigh muscle.
He has been injured last sunday in a french league game and is out for 3 weeks.

You're welcome. :)
BTW, a rough translation of a french article written one week ago about Mahinmi.
Ian Mahinmi is waiting for the rebound
The Pau-Orthez center is in the doubt. Just Imagine the situation.
Few days before your degree, you draw the first lottery prize with the promise of a six digits contract in two years. You can lost your mind... Translate it in the BB world and it is a little the story of Ian Mahinmi.
Drafted in the first turn (28th) by Spurs, the young center (20 years, 6'10") is this season with Pau-Orthez before a scheduled departure next summer for the NBA.
However, it was less expected that Mahinmi has some difficulties to follow the rhythm of a team engaged at the same time in the reconquest of the french championship title and in the high level euroleague. Pau-Orthez, that has make the gamble of Mahinmi as starting center for the start of the season, has quickly changed his mind by signing Michael Wrightn just a few hours before the start of the euroleague (in October).
Behind Wright. The American giving satisfaction (10th better scorer of Euroligue with 15,8 points), Mahinmi is now in his shade with a reduced playtime (4,2 pts and 3,2 rebounds in 10 min 30 S). Nothing sursprising, after all, for a so young player at a spot that requires as much talent as experience. But Mahinmi acknowledges "to have been confused" with the lost of the starting spot "I am not satisfied with my beginning of the season, I hoped better. I have had a very good summer with Spurs and a wound at my arrival in Pau avoided me to work with the team during the pre-season. I lost the control of the situation a little. Wright is good, it's logical that I'm now the backup." It is not failure state but the trajectory of his career, rectilinear since its recent beginnings (six seasons) in the BB, undergoes a little bending: "It is the first time that I've loss my confidence", recognizes Mahinmi "the fact that the starting center spot is a little too heavy for his shoulders, the arrival of Wright and sometimes severe referies have slowed his integration with the team, said Laurent Mopsus, the assistant of the coach Gordon Herbert. Having less playtime could have created in his mind a feeling of being useless but we start to see interesting things. He is rebounding" "I had to be focused again and starting again to work on the fundamentals : runing, rebounding, understanding of the game", said Mahinmi " I am still in a learning process, I must acquire experience. You need a lot of experience at the center spot"
Under the eye of Spurs. Spurs have a lot of hope in this "project", not hesitating to send a physical preparer to the year in Pau to shape his body with the goal to be nba ready. Spurs influence stops here "They follow my performances but are not all the time behind me. It is not their role to imply themselves. I have a weekly contact with Sam Presti, that's all" Until the day when Spurs, will make the decision to use him. A day that the young French "tries not not to think too much at" "My goal, today, it is to be productive as soon as I'm on the floor. It is the best way to stay longer on the court" the good way, also, is to improve before living his american dream.
