Well. What can I say? A picture sums it up for me. It is a gravestone, and on it says "40 Minutes of Hell", and I am too ashamed to post it's truth.
Stan Health is a good recruiter, horrible coach. Arkansas basketball after a few years of ups and down is starting to lose it's prestige of being a great basketball school. I can admit that. Losing to TT just makes me realize how truely awful our team must be.

Hmm, i thought this would be a decent game. Perhaps you're trying to reverse jinx us. Is it being televised at least?

ESPN national broadcast.
Honestly if we had Durant we'd be hella better than you guys with him. IMO.

That's easily true, we have no true center, and our leading rebounder can be pushed around by SF's, only gets those rebounds cuz of his freakish wingspan.
If we still had a true rebounding center we'd be in a position to become pretty bad ass. And im not talking about lamarcus, any center would be nice. Good to see we stopped starting CONNER ATCHLEY but that makes us a small ball team. We have bad ass speed but Augustin needs to utilize it more efficiently.

arKy didn't even show up against ttek in a neutral but home game for arK in lilrock. I didn't think ttek was very good, and still don't. They got waxed by double digs against the only 2 decent teams they played (AFA, Marq) and a poor Stanford team also beat them by double digs. Then again, arky hasn't done anything either. They beat a decent WVa team, and got their a$$es handed to them by 2 B12 teams that will be fighting for a 5 - 7 spot in the conf.
This game is in Austin, which means nothing as the UT basketball fans are pretty lame, but the team will be the best arKy has faced this season. Bad news for piggies. I see another double dig loss.

^ Have to say I really don't know anything about Arkansas' basketball team this year, although I was very surprised they lost to Tech-because I don't really think Tech is that good this year, I could be wrong about that. I do know we have a very young team that has difficulty with consistent play from game to game, so I don't think assuming a UT win is a conclusion at this point.

I just remembered that UT beat LSU. Hmm....they're going to impale Arkansas's tonsils tonight. Mark my words.

^I hope you're right. I'm recording the game on the DVR to watch when I get home from work. I just worry about our defense and our rebounding, although the overall defense seems to be improving, we still give up way too many rebounds. This will be an interesting team to watch this season.

Yeah I am pretty sure Hogs lose by 10+
I wonder what the all time record is between the cows and pigs.

85-64 all time Hogs lead. I would have guessed 90-50, but oh well. Will be 85-65 after tonight.

ballcox our zone defense was looking the best it has all year against LSU, and our rebounding was better in that game too, but not good enough. What more can we do for that? We stopped starting conner, so we're basically a small ball team with our starters now.

kevin durant is getting bullied out of position on both sides of the floor, hes been totally out of the game until these back to back baskets right now.
game is very competitive, ark is now hitting the outside shots, expect texas to go man soon
durant is just letting that dude totally push him out of the way on defense, letting ark slashers get easy quick passes towards the basket.

Nothing better in sports than a bad ass close game decided by a stupid call.
Why would they blow a make up whistle in that situation?
lame.
of course, being a spurs fan, i can always say free throws caused this situation
but still

Uhm, what are you bitching about dude? I swear if you're talking about a bad call against the Hogs you obviously were watching Arkansas women playing tonight.
It was a good game, but obviously Texas had home court advantage. My uncle lives in Dallas and is a Horns fan and calls me after the game asking me how I liked getting "screwed." He said "lucky it was big 12 refs and not sec or you woulda won."
I agree but I won't use it as a crutch. Officials do decide the outcome of the game but actually hitting a FT would have helped to begin with. Less than 10 mins to go in the second half that badass Augustine kid runs over Thomas and there was no call. So Augustine blows a layup, and Durant comes flying in over the back on Hill and Hill falls to the ground and gets blown for a foul. That was the only real obvious bullshit no call, the others I can live with. We owned the paint all night and pretty much dogged you guys out of the burnt orange, so getting away with a few over the backs on Hill and two bad calls saying out of bounds on Arkansas in the 2nd half was a load I can deal with.
Overall I am happy we almost won the game. In the end they started making up calls it seemed against Texas. Was a little too late though, even with the 4 point lead.
Durant might have been player of the game, but ya better believe those 20 NBA scouts starting checking out Patrick Beverley as well. The kid is gunna be a pro when he gains some pounds like Durant needs to.
I expect a win next season in Fayetteville though, behind a better home crowd and arena in Bud Walton and SEC refs.
Good game. Happy with the Hogs showing they might have something to fight for this year.
ps- Charles Thomas the manimal!

I was talking about the makeup calls, i realize we had home court but makeup calls in principle are horrible imo
I wonder how long we can keep winning without any post presence or big body to rebound
i bet we get owned in conference play if we dont figure somethin out
Brutalis

Okay good. I really didn't want to get into a dicussion with you over obvious HCA.
Yeah makeup calls are fucking ignorant. If you're calling it mostly one way, why make up for it later? It hurt Arkansas. It broke our momentum. We were wheelin and dealin til all the calls started.
I won't... but I almost want to say...
"You call it for Texas most of the night then when the Hogs get something going you stop it with whistles FOR them.."
but.. i won't... hehe..

But it did happen
I saw it
didnt your player miss the free throw after the foul call then we got an easy basket immediately after
so the make up call had the exact opposite effect intended
and yall were already up when they made it

Yeah that's my point. I wonder though honestly, if refs actually do that on purpose.

I like it, has a good ring to it. Abrams is quickly turning into one of the better 3 point shooters I've seen at UT.

Not to down the Big 12 basketball thing but .. SEC basketball is a lot more aggressive in the paint. I don't think it'll get any worse than last night.

I don't know... Ok State is looking pretty physical and tough against a top ten Pitt team. When your team is all under 20 years old - who knows how they'll play night in and night out...

have you watched A&M play? they might be the most physical team in the NCAA. anyway, they play Auburn tomorrow night @ Auburn...we'll see how that goes.

JGW god damnit your homerism is so lame
A&M is physical, yes, but why do you have to go out of your way to say most physical in the ncaa? First of all ya'll have a freakin euro
Its easy to argue with brutalis that other teams are physical but why do you insist on making every one of your posts homeresque?
