DENVER--The Denver Nuggets (14-9) two hours prior to their match with the Phoenix Suns (18-6) were forced to cancel the contest due to a winter storm bringing nearly three feet of snow to the area. The decision was made and upheld by the team's Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, Mark Warkentien. Also, this means that the anticipated debut of Allen Iverson will have to be put on hold, atleast temporarily. The Nuggets' Director of Basketball Operations, Greg Knight and the NBA Commisioner, David Stern have agreed to play all Denver home games existing from January 22 through January 31 in Kemper Arena located in Kansas City. During this time the Nuggets will host the division rival Seattle Supersonics and the defending Western Conference Champions, the Dallas Mavericks.

"It's a new basketball opportunity that our guys will have to accept, but I know that they are looking forward to it," says head coach, George Karl, when asked about this decision.

"It's wild, man, it's wild," remarks guard, Allen Iverson, "we have a chance to make new fans, and hopefully it will be a success like Oklahoma City was last year to the Hornets."

The Nuggets prefer to keep up the momentum, no matter where they are playing. They've won two games in a row by an average of 16 PPG, and are 6-4 when playing in the Pepsi Center. There has not been any announcement, as of yet, to when Wednesday's make-up game will be played.

That's awesome. Having lived on the Kansas side of KC, I've often wished they'd get another chance to have an NBA team. Hopefully this will be the first step in that direction.

is this fake? I assumed the dates were just incorrect (December instead of January)

I also heard today that the Pittsburgh Penguins may relocate to the KC area as they can't get funding for an arena or something. Even though I hate hockey, it'd be nice to see KC get it and grow as a true sports city.

And this guy makes fun of me for thinking the Suns could beat the Mavs last year with Amare and Bell healthy? I'm starting to think maybe I'm not an idiot
