The Cher or the Paul Shaffer version?

Neither...

My favorite version is sung by Steve Green (and maybe Whitney Houston's - RARE recording)

I am the same exact way...

Especially, the part, "Fall on your knees" With the right singer, it brings tears, and is very powerfull...

No one's topped Nat's "The Christmas Song". It's cool.

A good religious one is "What Child Is This".

That's the exact part of the song I meant when I said that. Very powerful.

Last year my nephew, who was 20 at the time, took voice lessons from a lady at church who taught voice and piano. My nephew had never taken music lessons before, yet he plays the guitar REALLY well and he could carry a tune.

So it comes time for his "recital" and we're all giving him a really hard time because the other participants range from age 2 to 7. "Awwwwwww hims gunna sing wiff the kiddies."

We sit through the 18 kids stumbling through various Christmas songs on the piano before it's my nephews turn.

He takes his place and the music starts.......and he starts singing "Oh Holy Night" and by the time he gets to the "fall on your knees" part, everyone already has tears in their eyes.

He blew us away. We knew he could sing, but this was amazing. None of knew he was quite that good.

So now, more than ever, that song has special meaning.
