I guarantee if he were playing, this would have been a win. This is what we would look like without him in crunch time -not very pretty.

It's not like this is the first time Manu has missed a game. We see what the Spurs look like without Manu about 15% of the time.

Cant the two words be used interchangeably? (Manu and Heart)

Sean Elliott made the same comment. Different 4th q with Manu. Oh well at least Eric williams looked halfway decent although I am not a fan of his defense.

Agreed, that's the one thing we've always been able to rely on. Now that it seems to be gone, we don't stand a freaking chance.

spurs problem was BENO got to many 4 quarter minutes tonight
NOT TP
and the lack of d
TP SHOULD DEMAND A TRADE
TO SOME REAL FAN TEAMS
JUST BECAUSE HE IS NOT MEXICAN OR SPEAKS SPANISH

What the hell are you talking about. What does this thread have to do with Tony? And Beno was in the game WITH Tony in the 4th quarter, right?

And what does not being Mexican have to do with it? And I doubt TP cares about a couple losers on this board not supporting him.

Well it's better if it's food poisioning and not the flu. Because flu could last a while and spread around to the other players. Food poisoning should be over quickly. (Though I think it's actually the flu.)

Since the 05 ring, missed games because of injury/illness :
Duncan : 1
Parker : 1
Ginobili : 22

Spurs haven't really had the oportunity to realize how Duncan and Parker are important too.
Spurs live and die with their big 3 : when one is out, game are though to win.

If the Spurs don't remember how to play defense, it won't matter where Manu is.

Wrong...Manu brings the little things....Like a couple or three steals a game, which can translate to a 8 - 12 point swing in the Spurs favor.

Williams picked up the slack for Barry with his 3 pointers, but no one picked up the slack for all the little things that Manu does that translates to wins.

Not saying with Manu the Spurs would have won for sure, but their chances certainly would have increased.

Manu brings things to the team that you can't teach and you can't practice. It's called a will to win, and only one guy on this team can actually will this team to a win in a tough game.

Spurs fans are the funniest in the entire league. I'm LOL and on the floor reading your posts.

I've never seen so many grown men cry, erh, take that back! You did it last spring, and you did it last year, and I'm sure you'll do it again about ten more times this basketball season, given that last night was only our eighth loss. You guys are really good.

Oh Boy, I can hardly wait to read your crying and bitching for the rest of our games.

You guys are the best!

It was said at the beginning of the game that the Spurs had the BEST won/loss record in the NBA (21-7). OK, so now we don't. Could change in a couple of days, though.

a lot of these posters have never played a team sport. Don't know that even the best teams struggle at times. You can't win every fucking game.

Look at the Pistons last season, they were a wreking ball and what good was that on their playoffs???

It's obvious our players are already thinking about March, April to get really rolling and into the playoffs. it's not like we have a young team.

and ducks STFU, you're just pissed cause u found out u'll be hanging out in chinatown this new years :lol
