Utah's (21-8) record against:

Phoenix = 2-0
Dallas = 1-0
San Antonio = 1-0
Detroit = 1-0

Very impressive.

Duh. They're probably going to be 2-0 against the spurs after tonight.

Spurs will win tonight unless Duncan and Parker have the flu.

Tuesday night's Spurs don't have a chance in hell to win Thursday night.

Which Spurs shows up Thurs night? It's a lottery.

Jazz have crawled out of many first-half deep holes to win.
They are strong finishers.
Any size Spurs' lead after 3Qs will be at risk.
If the Spurs aren't leading after 3Q, game is probably over.

With the way the Jazz crash the boards and the Spurs missing Elson, I think the Spurs will be very fortunate to come away with a win tonight.

Every once in a while, Fabri has an awesome rebounding night. Hopefully this will be one of them.

Jazz are only 9-7 since their 12-1 start, hopefully the spurs can play well from start to finish.

The Spurs should put Bowen on Deron Williams in the last 6 minutes of the game. He's their heart.

4get the Jazz, they wont even win the NW :smokin

They started hot as usual but are crashing back to earth. Losses to the knicks and bobcats in one week, plus a lucky escape from the Hawks in the same week.

If Manu is playing we win this one for sure. I think the rest of the team is going to come out fired up as well. Anyone know if this game will be showing in Austin? Otherwise I'll have to watch Mavs - Suns which should be a good one as well.

Bowen defended AK47 (primarily) tonight and held him to 6 points in 27 minutes.

ak47 is not known as a high volume scorer anyway....

That's true. He's an all-around contributor (capable of a triple double) and his point totals are down this year, after averaging 15 and 16 ppg the two previous years.

Andre was pretty much a non-factor tonight.

Hope those words are tasting good today...lol

Never underestimate the Spurs when they decide they really want to play.

"Tuesday night's Spurs don't have a chance in hell to win Thursday night."

... was/is true as ever.

"Tuesday night's Spurs" were no where to be seen Thurs night, esp Tim.

Tim's body language in the post game interview appeared to say that Pop climbed on his ass big time. When he talked about being the last line of defense and mentioned that it was pointed out during film sessions...he didn't look too happy. Someone wound him up pretty good.

"he talked about being the last line of defense"

Yeah, somebody put those surprising words in his mouth. Wonder who? :)

Mysterious why a guy like Tim needs to be repeatedly kicked in the butt to do his over-paid job, which to any serious observer, he hasn't been doing.

His face/attitude/activity vs Jazz was totally different from Tue night.

One has to wonder if he has the motivation, enjoyment, competitive spirit to play beyond his current contract, to find new ways to compete as he declines.

Has too much success spoiled and bored Tim Duncan?

It appears to me that Duncan watches as the game unfolds and gauges how hard he thinks he has to play. If the team is shooting well and things are going good he doesn't put out as much effort. Sometimes it turns and then becomes too late and the game is lost. Last night he was fired up from the start and we all saw the results.
