What are you gonna "try" to give up this year? I'm going to try cigarrettes again this year, I hope to make it past May this time. :king

As always, my resolution is to break all resolutions by January 2nd.

Always a tricky one to pull off, however, because if I break all the others, I'd have actually fulfilled the initial resolution and will be locked in a feedback loop of compliance and rebellion. Delicate balance.

Get more exercise and eat better.

If I do that, I'll hit 99 on the "how long will you live" test. :lol

Stop making "Official" threads when there really aren't any unofficial threads to begin with.

If I see any more UFO’s, I won't tell anybody about it....

I will try to stop biting lawyers...

I will try to hang out with girls other than my Mom...

I will not let the dog hog the pillow, growl at me from the sofa and snatch my dinner from my plate - this year that Poodle is going to learn that I'm the Alpha of the house and only I get to do certain things.... :smokin

I tore it last August playing basketball, we were playin fullcourt and I was dribbling then some dude hit the ball out of my hand from behind. He made a fastbreak to the other goal, so i chased him trying to go for the block, we both jumped at the same time and i grazed the ball but on my way down I landed weird on my knee and heard a loud pop noise.... It hurt like hell and I couldnt walk.

If you are not a famous athlete... getting back from a torn ACL can take up to 2 years.... I know a guy that had torn his ACL and he told me it took him at least 2 years to get back to normal. I don't know if he was exaggerating or not but it didn't seem like he was.

I wish I worked out my leg more but I was in physical therapy for 6 months after surgery so when they let me go I was so sick of dealing with my leg I completely stopped exercising it. I figure it's going to take at least a year for it to feel normal again.. and it's getting there. I still remember what it felt like when it happened.. it did hurt like hell!

Yeah it sucks, I was in the best shape of my life cause i jogged almost everyday but it happened and now if i do something that puts a lot pressure on it, my knee feels like its gonna give out. I tried to play baskeball like a dumbass two months later but it still feels like a brand new wound. So now i just shoot da damn ball

To keep up with my resolution I started going to the gym, and developed plantar faciitis, I can't run(this includes basketball, and that sucks the most), bike, use an elliptical machine, or lift weights standing up. Basically I'm doing all my lifting sitting down, and for cardio it's either the handbike or swimming. I hate fucking swimming, i swallow too much water. But the good news is i went to Marshals and bought 2 pairs of $40 swim trunks for a total of $17

How does it feel?

it's just a sharp pain when you walk. It varies in degree of pain each day, I haven't had it too bad cause I've stayed off of it.
